If fudge is stirred while the batch is still warm, a slight grain will result. This is traditional. To make fudge that is less grainy, use a recipe that has marshmallow creme as an ingredient.

It sounds like you’re overcooking the sugar. Keep the temperature under 250 degrees will prevent the sugar from crystallizing.

Gregor Mendel was a 19th Century monk who discovered the laws of inheritance (dominant and recessive genes etc.). More recent analysis of his results suggest that they are "too good to be true". Fudge made with Calico mixes simply dries out over time and becomes harder. We do not recommend leaving it in airtight containers because it is a fresh product and does not include a preservative which would prevent mould growth such as that seen on jam from time to time. If we used a preservative, you could seal it tight, prevent any moisture loss and get many months shelf life.

The higher the resolution of your images, the better they will look in your screensaver. In all cases, upload the highest resolution possible. (A minimum of 640x480 is recommended.)

Is your monitor set to display more than 256 colors? Take a look at the two pictures above: if they look the same to you, there is a good chance that your monitor is not set up to display more than 256 colors. To ensure that the videos uploaded to Go211 load quickly, we compress them. A side-effect is that sometimes this process results in diminished fidelity in videos. For the most part, however, the quality of the videos is directly proportional to the quality of the video uploaded to the site. In other words, uploading higher-quality videos will produce better results than uploading lower-quality ones.

Anything that comes between your cable entry point and the TV will cause the signal to deteriorate, and that's what leads to a snowy, grainy picture. Splitters are the single biggest source of loss (see chart below), but all cable runs, unnecessary connectors, cable wall jacks, VCRs, cable and digital set-top boxes ? anything between the cable entry point and the TV ? will degrade the signal.

Assuming all the ingredients were measured properly, the only way for fudge to fail is if either it is cooked at the wrong temperature or cooked for the wrong amount of time. You probably have the Digibox UHF output tuned on top of a Digital terrestrial channel. Try disconnecting the terrestrial aerial to see if this cures the fault. If it does, retune the UHF output channel (see previous question).
