Yes. In Releasing the Bonds: Empowering People to Think for Themselves I write about some of my cases involving this form of personal control. Sometimes, it can be an authoritarian family system. Sometimes it can be husband, wife, "friend" or relative. Many times it can be someone in some other position of authority. Battered-wife syndrome and prostitutes controlled by an abusive pimp also fit this category.

Mind control, like ritual abuse, has both a broad and narrow definition. In a sense, all advertising is an attempt at mind control, an attempt to make people buy certain brands or objects. Propaganda (my country is right and good and the other country is wrong and bad) is also an example of attempted mind control in the broad sense of the term. Most people cannot mentally control their skin conductivity response in any kind of rapid and fine-tuned way. The response can take seconds to arise and longer to decay. However, you can experiment with thinking of exciting or calming thoughts and watch how your galvactivator responds. Once you have dialed it to your proper baseline, the galvactivator should be sensitive enough to respond to internally-generated imagery in a broad way.

No. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. No one can guide you into a state of hypnosis unless you want them to. Once in a state of hypnosis, no one can tell you act in a way contrary to your core values or cause you to believe something that goes against your core beliefs. It's up to you to choose which suggestions you will accept and which suggestions you will reject. If someone tried to manipulate you into doing something that you didn't want to do, you would come out of hypnosis instantly.

Medical hypnotherapy is very different than stage hypnosis, and from the kind of hypnosis that is shown in children's cartoons. Stage hypnotists are highly trained people who know how to put on a good show. They typically ask for volunteers from the audience, call several people onstage, and, after talking with them briefly, send all but a few back into the audience.

I do not know of a way to do this with Rich Edit 1.0 controls. Kimberly says that it cannot be done: "As it ends up, RE 1.0 doesn't support transparent background. It paints the background in the WM_PAINT message instead of the WM_ERASEBKGND." Not at all. Unless you are talking about "self-mind control" in which case I would like to change my answer to most definitely. The client is, at all times, in complete control of their mind. I cannot, through any use of the trance state, cause someone to betray their morals or ethics, place themselves in harms way, or do or say anything against their will. Recall that in a hypnotic state we are dealing with the subconscious mind that exists to protect your mind and body from harm.

No, we practice self-control. We do not approve of manipulation. And besides, it would be senseless to manipulate people into believing something they don't want to believe, because they would just quit believing it sooner or later. Instead, we share our convictions in a straightforward manner. If sharing our faith causes others to have faith, then they will be controlled by the same love for our Master that we are controlled by (2 Corinthians 5:14-15).

A hypnotist CANNOT make you do anything you don't want to do. Your subconscious mind will not accept suggestions in conflict with your desires, morals or beliefs.

a) Pads and Vias in inner layers are basically of round shape and are usually smaller in diameter than they are in Top or Bottom layer (see Restring settings in the Design Rules). With the default setting in EAGLE (layer color for Pads and Vias is green) the differences in shape and diameter are not visible in the Layout Editor.
