We have some kits available as a supplement to factory installed wood trim. These additional pieces are made with what we label "factory match". These pieces add to but do not replace existing wood trim. It is important to note that these kits are manufactured to complement factory installed trim, not aftermarket trim installed for or by the dealer. If you are not sure if your trim is factory installed, check with your dealership.

While the dash kit piece is still warm pull on it (we do not recommend using screw drivers or any other metal tools - use your fingers and plastic objects). In most cases we find that replacing corner trim is necessary in order to achieve a quality application. We find that most original trim was installed unprimed and extensive splitting and non-repairable paint degradation has occurred. In order to achieve a long term adhesion of caulking between siding and corners it is good to have new, primed trim installed. In addition, if you install a new moisture barrier you need to replace your corner trim to ensure proper wrapping on all of your corners.

The best way to care for your wood kit or carbon fiber kit is to keep it out of the sun as much as possible. AutoAnything recommends a UV Shield for the ultimate protection. If you do not have a UV shield, try park in the shade as much as possible. If you spill on the dash kit use a damp cloth and water to clean the kit.

If you can easily slide your finger on your dash and it feels oily that means you have a layer of armor all on your dash. It doesn't matter how strong of adhesive you have it will still not stick. Take a cotton towel with alcohol and deep clean your dash with it. Rubbing each part for 2-5 minutes. You'll need 10 packets of promoter and put a lot of promoter on the area where the dash pieces will be applied. Let it dry.

It is difficult to say if your navigation system is transferable or not unless the dealer actually sees it. Please be advised that some charges may apply for transferring the system.

Yes, all valves are a standard size and any of our new faucet sets will work with the older valves. Since the 1950's, manufacturing capabilities have become greater. It is possible your old trim or valve will not smoothly fit together. Please work with your local showroom to review this.

Clear View (CV) defrosters can be used to replace severely damaged defrosters that are not repairable using Frost Fighter repair kits. While Clear View kits need to be installed using the kits bus bars and tabs the vehicles existing wiring and switches can be used in most cases. Please read the "Damage from window tint removal" question below for a full description of this problem and how to fix it.

The 3M automotive tape does its job very well, and removal of peel-and-stick trim products may cause damage to auto paint if you are not careful. While installation of our Chrome grill inserts does not cause damage, removal may, in some cases. The plastic clips hold tightly, and may possibly cause paint chips when being removed. Some models have 3M tape to supplement the clips, and the same precautions noted above must be taken when removing the tape.

Although color is a very personal thing, we do have general recommendations. Grey interiors look very sharp with a Rosewood Dash Color Finish, while Tan interiors are very well suited to the Burlwood Dash Color Finish. This is not to say that there aren't gray interiors that look amazing with Burlwood Dash or Tan interiors that don't look great with a Rosewood Dash. A popular option these days is the carbon fiber dash kit.

A vast majority of our structures have the roof factory cut. Only on a few custom structures will parts of the roof have to be field cut. The trim, which is the ridge, hip, fascia, etc. has to be field cut to fit the roof. There are many other questions that may come to mind. No. You cannot just string the heating element material across the old grid lines, connect them to the existing defroster side bars. Clear View element material is much more conductive than the original so its would essentially be a dead short with high temperatures and blown fuses. Many of our customers do this with excellent results. You need to measure the height and width of the glass and determine which Clear View Kit will work with a pickup cap.
