Due to circumstances completely beyond our control, the creators of the various browsers (a browser is the piece of software you're using to view this page) have decided not to be compatible with one another. What this means in practice is that web sites that look and work properly on one browser will look different and may not work at all on another browser. Sometimes when you plug a GPS receiver into the computers COM port, Windows detects the RS232 data as indicating that a serial mouse has been plugged in. This causes the screen to behave erratically. Fog (which is implemented in hardware by your video card if you are running in Direct3D or OpenGL modes) works by calculating a fog-adjusted color at each vertex of a polygon, and then interpolating that color across the rest of the polygon. Some ground objects use extremely large polygons, and when fog is enabled that can result in wildly different fog values at each vertex. When these values are interpolated, it can create some distinctly non-fog-like effects.

If you are using an OpenWindows cmdtool as your terminal, any escape sequences (such as those produced by cursor keys) will be swallowed up and never reach zsh. Either use shelltool or avoid commands with escape sequences. You can also disable scrolling from the cmdtool pane menu (which effectively turns it into a shelltool). If you still want scrolling, try using an xterm with the scrollbar activated.

You probably have the extendedglob option set in which case ^ and # are metacharacters. ^a matches any file except one called a, so the line is interpreted as bindkey followed by a list of files. Quote the ^ with a backslash or put quotation marks around ^a.
