There will be multiple leadership and skills development workshops at SGC that all delegates will attend. However, some of the time will be spent in smaller groups discussing specific ideas or projects. Applicants are not expected to have extensive background knowledge in the project topics, but should be interested in taking an active role in the development and leadership of the topic.

Prior to SGC, delegates will interact with each other online via web forums (discussion boards). These forums will be moderated by staff members to help keep keep discussion on-topic and moving forward. Additional resources may be added to allow delegates to collaborate online. The goal is to have most of the background information discussed before reaching Valencia.

In 2007 the following was organized: A walking tour of Florence, including the Palazzo Vecchio, churches of Santa Croce, Duomo, and Santa Maria Novella; students also took a guided tour of the Uffizi museum. There was also a bus trip to Siena, tour of the city, lunch, and a visit to the vineyards in Chianti. The final dinner was held at Aurora Restaurant in a four star hotel overlooking Florence from the rim of Fiesole. Costs were determined by how many students signed up.

The congregation doing the building assumes the role of General Contractor and the Mission Builders provide management and labor. A preconstruction manager will help you determine how to divide the building project between the Mission Builders and subcontractors. Yes. There are many Tiyulim and Shabbatonim scheduled throughout the year. These trips are planned both for their educational value, and with the intent that students enjoy themselves and come to learn about and appreciate Eretz Yisrael. Many students also participate in annual Yeshiva missions to Poland .
