Is it true it doesn't have rudder pedals? Why?
Ercoupers FAQThe Ercoupe is notable in that the design of it was an attempt at making a much safer airplane. Fred wanted to try, through good design, to remove many of the elements that were causing crashes in airplanes. Most notable about the Ercoupe is that the original was designed to be incapable of spinning. The reasons for that are because the leading causes of accidents were spins. Spins are impossible if you can't stall the wings. Fred wanted to cut down on the plane's ability to bite its owner.
Related QuestionsCan I use the pedals to simulate gas or rudder pedals?
STEP ON IT! Pedals: FAQNo. STEP-ON-IT! Keyboard Control Pedals are digital. They toggle "on" or "off". Thus they can take over frequently used keystrokes for "decisive" ON- OFF functions such as: launching missiles, opening doors, switching weapons, adjusting shields, changing the screen views, etc. Digital controls are not used for emulating "variable" functions such as the gas pedal of a racing car. This can only be done by analog (linear) systems.
Related QuestionsAnd how about pedals?
FAQ'sAgain, there are two types, some games used a pot-based design which allowed the pedal to be partially depressed. Other games used a microswitch so the pedal was either up or fully depressed. And some games used a pot for the gas pedal and a switch for the brake/clutch. In this case, I recommend using a pot based pedal, as a pot will act like a closed switch when fully depressed, so again, this solution will work for either type of game.

Related QuestionsMusic Schools - Frequently Asked QuestionsUsually, with two pedals, the left one is the Soft pedal. On a baby grand, the soft pedal actually shifts the entire "action" mechanism slightly to one side causing the hammers to only strike two of the three strings which makes the sound softer. On a vertical (upright) piano, the left pedal moves the action closer to the strings. Because they can't travel as far, they don't hit the strings as hard, again making the sound softer.Related Questions

Do Visual Sound pedals have "true-bypass"?
Visual Sound - F.A.Q.First, the switches required for "true-bypass" are far more expensive than ours and are less reliable in the long run. This would make our pedals in the $200+ range (list price) and they wouldn't last as long. Our unique electro-mechanical switching system with heavy-duty switches and a "switch chip" should last a good long time. Secondly, the buffering system in the pedals was taken from our Pure Tone pedal.

Related QuestionsWhat do the pedals do and how do they work?
The Piano Education Page - Piano Frequently Asked Questions ...The left (soft) pedal works differently on grands and uprights. On an upright or 'vertical' piano--this includes spinets, consoles, studio uprights and large uprights--the soft pedal operates a bar inside that pushes all the hammers closer to the strings, which makes it easier to play softer. You can watch this by opening the top of the piano and looking down inside while you work the pedal.

Related QuestionsWhat is a balanced rudder? Is the Hydrovane rudder a spade rudder?
Servo Pendulum Self Steering - Hydrovane SelfsteeringFirst to clarify ? it is not really a 'balanced rudder' but a 'semi balanced rudder'. The balancing is a matter of the position of the rudder shaft in the rudder ? its pivot point. By positioning the rudder shaft at different locations further and further back from the front of the rudder it becomes easier and easier to turn ? until a certain point when it becomes indifferent to its direction - hence out of control.

Related QuestionsNo. The part of marijuana that gets you high is called 'Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol.' Most people just call this THC, but this is confusing: your body will change Delta-9-THC into more inert molecules known as 'metabolites,' which don't get you high. Unfortunately, these chemicals also have the word 'tetrahydrocannabinol' in them and they are also called THC -- so many people think that the metabolites get you high.Related Questions
