Yes. You may treat each movie clip as one single slide inside your wedding video. Videos with plain expressions (eg: smiling) or simple gesture (eg: running, hugs etc) can enhance the mood of your video. As the audio part from your submitted movie clip will be deleted prior to production, try not to submit video clip with the person talking. You may send us the file by FTP upload. We accept computer format such as wmv, mov, avi, or mpeg. DV and VHS tapes will NOT be accepted.

Camcorders can only be checked out for school projects with permission from the Audio-Visual Supervisor. Currently there are no digital cameras to check out. Tape recorders are for building use only. This one is slightly more complicated. If you have a video camera that records directly to a media file (often .mp4 or .avi) like a digital still camera you can just upload directly to vzaar in the same way as above. If you have a camcorder, it's probably mini dv camera, and you'll have need some software on your computer to help you with this. If you have an Apple Mac, you'll have iMovie which can import directly from the camera and then be exported to video file to be uploaded.

If you have video clips that you took with your digital camera, we can include those in your DVD photo shows too! Have the photo developer save the video clips on your CDs along with your photos and leave the rest to our professionals . It is best to limit individual video clips from 2 to 4 minutes each and not to have too many on your photo shows as videos take up lots of space.

Transferring video to your computer will depend on the type of camcorder you have. Mini DV and Digital8 cams typically use an i.LINK™ digital A/V jack while mini DVD and hard disk drive cams normally use a USB port. Before you purchase a camcorder, be sure to check your computer's input jacks and see which inputs it already has. Most newer computers feature both USB ports and an i.LINK jack. If yours doesn't, it's quite easy (and relatively inexpensive) to add using an empty PC or PCI slot.

It's time to join the 21st century. Digital video offers a wide range of advantages over analogue video. First and foremost is quality. Digital footage is vastly superior in terms of visual and audio clarity. Because it's digital, the quality doesn't degrade no matter how many copies you make. Digital footage can be easily edited in a wide range of software packages and exported to a variety of formats. It's flexible, easy and fast. Analogue video isn't. End of story.

There are a few methods depending on the specification of your camera and your requirements. If you require JLIP control of your camera and still image capture to a PC, you could use a product like the JVC GV-CB3 JLIP video capture box which allows still image capture from any analogue video source and control of JLIP devices. You can transfer your videos from your digital stills camera in the same way as you extract your photographs. If you're a photo buff and want to take high-quality still pictures, I highly recommend a digital SLR, such as the Canon Digital Rebel or the Nikon D70. Submitted photos do NOT have to be digital photos from a digital camera. Any digital scan will do, as long as the end result is a JPG or JPEG file. You may submit scans of negatives, transparencies, or photographs taken with normal cameras.

Most DV camcorders are not supported by ConquerCam because they are not using the "Video For Windows" protocol. However using a 3rd party product such as WebCamDV will allow ConquerCam to find your DV Camcorder and treat it as a web cam. You can use any digital video camera that can upload files to a computer in the format supported by IMAGE STUDIO (AVI). Please check the file format of the digital video camera and the application software supplied with it. (In some cases you may need separate software for file conversion.)

To be effectively and pleasantly viewed on the Internet, a movie needs to be compressed and encoded to correspond to the connection speed of the user. In the 1394 world, a Digital Camera is a camera that sends uncompressed video and complies with the 1394 Trade Association's Digital Camera specification. It is not a digital photo camera. Absolutely. Editing on your PC is a great option for some folks, but not necessary.
