The Learning ASL courses are designed to be taken sequentially. Vocabulary, grammar, and topics build from lesson-to-lesson, course-to-course. CASE stands for Conceptually Accurate Signed English. As stated above, with Signed English ASL signs are used in English word order. The "Conceptually Accurate" phrase refers to the use of signs that are conceptually in line with the meaning of the word. For example in the sentence "I can't afford to go to the movie because I don't have any bread." The ASL sign for BREAD is not used, instead the ASL sign MONEY will be used since it reflects the meaning of the English word.
