Most students opt for the two-year program for working professionals. They complete two 3-credit courses each term, taken back-to-back to enable them to focus on one course at a time. Students in the full-time, one-year, program complete four courses each term, two at a time.

The Academy program is voluntary, so you can take courses when it is convenient for you. You can take a quarter off, take classes for just one quarter, etc.

Three additional non-cohort classes (4 units each) are required; these are offered during the school year and summer term. Full-time students generally take 15 credits, or three classes each quarter. There are some exceptions to this; students taking MATH 121, or participating in ROTC or chorale may have additional credits. Freshmen may not enroll for more than 18 credits during their first quarter of college. Taking only three courses may seem like a breeze compared to the five or more classes you had in high school. However, college level courses are much more demanding.

There are no official restrictions, but it is not recommended to take more than 2 upper division courses in economics every quarter since these are not easy courses!

In addition to a 4-credit First-Year Seminar, most students take three more 4-credit courses during their first quarter at DU. DU’s curriculum allows ample room for completion of University Undergraduate requirements, major and minor requirements, business core courses (if applicable) plus multiple elective credits.

One a student has been admitted to the graduate program, a full-time load is ten hours, which is usually two courses, but a student may register for as many as 15 quarter hours.

Answer: No. You may apply for only one CCS emphasis with this application. You should apply to the emphasis to which you are most strongly committed. Should you be accepted to UCSB and to Creative Studies, you may inquire about applying to a second emphasis in Creative Studies, or to a second major in the College of Letters and Science. [top] Answer: Yes. As Soon As Possible! You do not need to have been accepted to UCSB at the time that you complete and submit the Creative Studies application.

University of Maryland awards the standard .67 credit per credit-hour of study at institutions on the quarter system. A 3-credit course there will merit 2 credits here. Your College advisor will work with you to assign these credits within your program of study.

Courses taken on the quarter system at an accredited institution are considered for transfer. Basically, for every 3 quarter hours we issue 2 semester hours' credit.

Always refer to GOLD for the most updated course offerings and locations. However, here is a tentative listing of Law & Society courses by quarter.

We assume that a quarter-system credit equals .75 (3/4ths) of a semester-system credit. Thus, if you took two 3-credit hour courses on the quarter system (6 credits x 0.75), they would only be equal to 4.5 semester hours; therefore, you would need to complete an additional quarter hour course to equal at least six semester hours, if two full semesters of a type of course are required. CSUEB courses are offered on the quarter system. Each quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) is 11 weeks in length: 10 weeks of instruction and 1 week of final exams. Yes. You may receive 9 units of elective credit toward a Bachelor's degree if you completed at least one year of uninterrupted active military service. Commissioned officers may receive an additional nine units.

You should complete the Change of Major Petition during the quarter in which you are enrolled in the last pre-major class. You should also add your name to the electronic waiting list for the courses you hope to crash. Do not wait to register until you are a full major or you will be charged a late registration fee. Attend the course on the first day and request an add code. Sometimes your major will be changed at the beginning of third pass, and you will then be able to add the classes on GOLD.

You have the option to sign up for a mid-quarter start, sections labelled BA, in all the self-paced courses. You are welcome to begin working on a course before that mid-quarter start date, if you wish.

Brown Mackie College programs and schedules are designed to allow you to complete your chosen program without interruption. In this way, you can complete your program and begin your career more quickly. If you choose to interrupt your studies, there may be financial aid and/or tuition issues that should be discussed with the Student Financial Services department prior to doing so.

Six courses are currently offered per quarter. A significant increase is expected in the coming quarters.

You may apply for the Intercampus Visitor Program through the Office of the Registrar. Along with your completed application, you must provide a letter of support from your major department, if you are planning to take courses for your major.

Transfer students must first send an unofficial copy of their transcripts to the engineering advising staff. This is in addition to the official transcript you had your college/s send to the UCSC Admissions Office. The staff will evaluate what credit you will get toward the major and contact you about what classes you should be taking in your first quarter on campus. You cannot enroll in any courses for the major on campus until this has been done.

While it may be possible to substitute a semester course for a quarter course, students who wish to repeat quarter courses should do so before Fall 2005. Some quarter courses may not have equivalents under semesters, and, therefore, will not be repeatable on the semester system. The content of some quarter courses may be dropped completely on the semester system or may be dispersed among several semester courses.

Most courses will not change, other than to accommodate the new schedule. In some cases, two-semester sequences, such as History 210 (American History) will be turned into two-quarter sequences. In other cases (most notably in the sciences, languages and calculus), two-semester courses will be turned into three-quarter sequences. Courses are offered in two sessions every quarter. Student who are new to online at The King’s may only take one course in their first session. After their first session, students may enroll for a maximum of two courses. So students who are new to online could take one course in their first session and 2 courses in their second session resulting in 3 courses for the quarter.

There will be changes periodically. Changes occur mainly as a result of student and instructor feedback to our Web site. This is done to maximize the tools.

You should choose courses for your major. You should make a special effort to enroll in any lower-division preparatory subject courses that you have not yet completed. Your major adviser can assist you in choosing those courses.

Most courses offered are undergraduate courses, although a handful of graduate level courses are available as well. Unless otherwise specified, courses numbered from 1 through 99 are primarily for first- and second-year undergraduates; courses numbered from 100 through 199 are for third- and fourth-year undergraduates; and those from 200 through 699 are for graduate students.
