Many professional services are provided by the Health Care Center, including: evaluation and treatment of illnesses, health problems and injuries.

The first (and most preferred) is to call and make an appointment in advance. If you cannot get to your appointment for some reason, it is your responsibility to call and cancel. The second way is, if you have an acute illness that needs immediate attention "same day appointments" are available. You must call at 8 a.m. and request an appointment for the same day. Same day appointments are limited and only for people who are acutely ill.

The Health Center provides contraceptives to women students through the Women's Health Clinic. In addition, condoms are provided free of charge at the Health Center.

Animal Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit agency founded by Jennifer Gilson, Executive Director of Sonora Veterinary Hospital. Jennifer was moved by the suffering she witnessed at the county animal control facilities. She began Animal Rescue Center initially to help injured stray animals at Animal Care & Control that would otherwise have had no hope of rehabilitation.

One service that the men's center provides is a library of resources on various issues affecting men, such as relationships, identity development, and sexual issues among others. Another function of the Men's Center is to provide information and referrals to varied health professionals on campus and in the Eugene community. The Men's Center is also a place on campus where students can spend time in a safe environment. These are just a few of the services that the men's center provides.

Respite Care provides care through community-based day and night out services, a residential emergency shelter, a daycare center.

Provinces and territories may also offer "additional benefits" under their respective health insurance plans, at their discretion, and on their own terms and conditions. While these services vary from province to province, some examples include prescription drug benefits, dental care, optometric services, chiropractic services, hearing aids, transportation services and home care programs.

On-site nursing is available at the Davidson Respite House and the Respite Daycare. Participants of all other service options may utilize the Medical Wellness Center, located behind the Davidson Respite House, during business hours by appointment.

I also provide health care for well-women. This means complete physical exams, pap smears, provision of methods of family planning, and diagnosis and treatment of infections such as bladder infections or sexually transmitted infections. I use a wellness model of health care and provide counseling and education related to life-style, diet and exercise. I care for women throughout life, from birth to old age.

No. All undergrad students registered for 7 or more units and all graduate students registered for 6 or more units are eligible for services at the Student Health Center.

CSU Health Services is open from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday and Tuesday and 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Wednesday through Friday during the academic year. All outpatient primary health care services are provided by the NMSU Student Health Center for graduate assistants enrolled in the health insurance plan. Referrals for specialty care are required and must be approved by staff of the NMSU Student Health Center to receive payment for services by the health insurance provider.

No. All the plans require the insured to pay for some services before the plan provides benefits. This is called a deductible. The plans have deductible options of $500, $750, $1,000 and $1,500. The lower the deductible, the higher the premium amount.

Health Education Services offers a wide variety of services to meet the needs of students. All services are free of charge and confidential.

Our staff consists of Registered Nurses, Family Nurse Practitioners, and a licensed Psychological Counselor, who are all Cabrillo staff. In addition, we have consultation services available through our Medical Director, an MD Family Planning services are provided through Planned Parenthood, Mar Monte, who contract to come weekly for a special clinic for this purpose.

If a student feels they cannot wait until the Health Center opens; and schedule an appointment, we encourage them to go next door to the Rockingham Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
