The major differences to look for is the inclusion of the various data ports like USB, serial, etc. Also which optical drives are included and not included. Also the physical weight and dimensions.

The Master Series, the 3A, and many modified rigs can handle cameras weighing up to 40 lbs.; in the field, this means that they can support cameras such as Arri BL's and the Panaflex Platinum conversion very well, and Panavision Gold, some 65mm and Imax cameras at the limits of their range.
