How does the Bond/Excess on a rental vehicles work?
Travellers Auto Barn - Hire, Rental, Lease, Wagon, Camper, 4...Each rental vehicle requires a Bond that is also the insurance excess for that vehicle. The amount of the Bond is decided by you, and must be done with a credit card. Your credit card is pre-authorized for the appropriate amount when you pick up the vehicle. If the vehicle is returned in good condition and a full tank of fuel, the Bond is then released.
