Weather permitting, the gate to Rampart Reservoir should be open by mid May each year. You can, however, in the meantime hike to Rampart Reservoir from the Rainbow Gulch Trailhead. The 1.4-mile trail will take you to the Rampart Reservoir inlet and to some potentially good fishing. Keep in mind that the campgrounds won't be open until the end of May, again weather permitting. The gate usually closes in November after the first major snowfall.

Our opening and closing dates change from season to season, but we always are open on Thanksgiving Day up until a few days before Christmas Day, generally around Dec. 21 or 22. Please refer to our home page for current opening and closing dates.

Answer: We keep one course open all year as our lower elevation offers a mild microclimate. We rotate each year between the Ridge and Resort Course as to which one we keep open. We typically open all the courses on March 1st (weather permitting) and run through the first week in November.

Subject to snow conditions, for Winter 2007/2008 the lifts will be operating during the following dates: Courchevel 1650, 1300 (Le Praz) & La Tania - Saturday 15th December 2007 to Sunday 20th April 2008 inc. is normal during early/late season, a reduced ski area will be in operation between 8th - 21st December 2007 and 21st - 27th April 2008 depending on snow cover. Lift pass prices usually reflect this reduction in the skiable area.

There are many mountain huts in and around the Chamonix Valley and Mont Blanc region that offer a resting place and sustinence for the weary traveller. A large proportion of them are closed in the winter although some may still offer shelter for back country tourers and climbers. The seasonal opening and closing dates is governed to a certain extent, by the severity of the winter and how quickly the snow disappears. Snow conditions permitting: Partial opening on November 1st 2007 and weekends only until 21st December. The cable car will remain open between 8am and 4.30pm, and the Index and Trappe chairlifts will also be in operation during this time (last lift 3.30pm).

Lagoon A Beach is scheduled to be open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, weather and other factors permitting. Lagoon A Beach is scheduled to open approximately 11:00 am each operating day.

No. We recommend thru-hikers begin in mid to late June because higher areas may still retain deep snowfields. We also recommend starting the Trail no later than early September in order to finish before snow becomes plentiful. August storms at higher elevations can include lightning, hail and snow. Be advised, it can snow (and has) at any time during the summer months. We do not recommend attempting a thru-hike in the winter as the CT is not marked for winter travel.

The Infant, Toddler, Full-Time Preschool, and School-age Programs open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m. and operate all year, closing only for designated ISU office holidays. During the rainy season the sea can be very rough, and as you need to go at least 2 hours out to get the best dives sites and visibility, it is often impossible to reach them. It is sometimes possible to dive if the rains and storms clear but then the visibility is generally so bad that we donâ??t think itâ??s worth your while.

The regular open season for the harvesting of spiny lobster in Florida state waters is August 6 through March 31. No person shall harvest, attempt to harvest or have in their possession - regardless of where taken - any spiny lobster during the Closed Season of April 1 through August 5 of each year.

Northampton residents are allowed to burn brush, cane, driftwood and forestry debris – not including grass, hay, leaves or stumps – between January 15 and May 1. If you would like to burn in those months, you must call Northampton Public Safety at 587-1100 to request a [free] burning permit. Once a permit is obtained, you must call the day you intend to burn to notify dispatch (587-1100).

It never really closes. The only thing that will typically keep us off the water is ice. The water in the city limits of Calgary is flowing most of the year. Water opens south of Calgary following the ice melt, typically mid April. Typically the fishing picks up mid to late April (depending on the weather and snow melt) and continues to get better as the season progresses. Nymph and streamer fishing is good and developing in late April and early May.
