In my snapshot I have committed to learning and programming in C++. I purchased the book you recommended and I purchased the Microsoft Visual C++ program that allows me to compile and link the program. I am beginning to learn to program C++ and as I get further into it I'm wondering as to why you use this particular program as opposed to Fortran or some other programming language.
