Indiana CLEO Fellows attending public schools, Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington and Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, receive up to $15,000. The CLEO Summer Institute usually includes a few students who have applied to Indiana law schools but are still awaiting admission decisions. These students must gain admittance to continue in the program.

Stipends: During the nine-month academic year, a $500 stipend will be paid to the fellow each month, for a total annual stipend of $4,500. Stipends are paid directly to the Fellow. Tuition and Academic Fees: Up to $10,000 per year will be paid directly to the institution for allowable tuition and fees.

Yes. Fellows participate in regular required and optional development activities. Development activities cover areas such as budgeting, procurement, and human resources, and expose the Fellows to government initiatives and processes outside of their placements.

During their time in the Fellowship, Fellows are certified under a Transitional B certificate issued by the state.
