Yes, the Study Center is located in 114 Knutti Hall, and tutorial services are free. Additionally, the Writing Center is located in Room 207 Knutti Hall. Appointments are necessary and can be made in either 114 or 207 Knutti Hall.

While there is no specific LD program, the Associate Provost for Academic Services advises students with documented special needs.

Each student on the course has a personal tutor whose role is to help the student to integrate the different parts of the course and to be aware of circumstances effecting the students learning on the course. Tutors will meet with their tutees at least once per semester to review the student's work. Tutors will also be available to discuss essay preparation upon request.

Students that need service who schedule an RNC to come onsite will be notified if there is any onsite fee. Services such as harware installation, software installation, virus removal and harware configuration (not concerning ResNet) are subject to an onsite fee. The most cost effective way to deliver service is to bring the computer to the TSC or have TSC personnel transport the computer to the TSC.

The Peer Tutor Lab in the Teaching and Learning Center is open Monday - Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., operated by a staff of 12-15 trained peer tutors who offer approximately 32 hours per week of free individual help for 60 courses per semester. The installation includes a separate file with a 100+ step tutorial which is oriented to relatively inexperienced computer users. Because graduate-level writing is more demanding and 30-minute sessions may not provide you with all the feedback you need, the KU Writing Center offers one-hour appointments exclusively for graduate students. Keep in mind that these appointments are extremely limited, and only one appointment is available per student each week, so try to schedule your graduate appointment as early as possible. Graduate students are also welcome to work with a writing consultant in a regular, 30-minute session.

IDL students have access to the University System of Georgia’s GALILEO (Georgia Library Learning Online), as well as to various UGA resources including, UGA Libraries, EITS Computer Services, Learning Disabilities/Disability Services, Tutorial Services, the Language Laboratory, the University Health Center, Parking Services, and UGA’s Campus Transit System. Though all of the services are available to IDL students, some are only available in the Athens, Georgia, area.

Teachers of the self-contained classes for students with autism are provided opportunities to receive instruction in a blend of research-based methodologies and teaching strategies.

Tutoring on the Central Campus is available to all MCCC students in the Learning Assistance Lab (LAL) located on the third floor of the Learning Resources Center in College Hall. Tutoring in math, English, and a variety of content area subjects is provided on a drop-in basis. Regular tutoring appointments for students with disabilities depend on available resources. On the West Campus, the LAL is in room 159 inside the Library.

The Office of Learning Support Services provides accommodations for students with documented learning differences. Students will work the Learning Support Services on an individual basis.

ACC maintains job banks of current openings. Recruiters from businesses, industries and professions visit campus regularly through regular career fairs. Many of these companies list their job openings with our Career Center. We also provide seminars on job searches, resumes and job interview preparation.
