The Oakland Pet Adoption Center is located at 1700 Brown Road in Auburn Hills, between M-24 (Lapeer) and Joslyn Road (View Map and Contact Information ).

The Center is open 7 days a week, from 11AM to 6PM. It is located at 250 Florida Street, right around the corner from the San Francisco SPCA main entrance at 2500 16th Street.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 9:00pm Central time; Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm Central time. Administrative hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Central time.

Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash. However, for the safety of both the pet and our patrons, we prefer that pets not be brought to the facility.

The CaP Center has been redesigned. Now it only shows those pets that can be created at the moment you visit.

A Pet Communicator is pretty synonymous with Pet Psychic, Pet Translator or Pet Intuitive. Pet Communicators can communicate with "animal beings" (beings with an animal body, compare "human being" who is you and I, a being with a human body). They tell you what the animal has to "say" and in the course of this have to translate this into terminology humans can relate to. Pet Intuitive is another name I've seen used for a person who can do this.

The first thing to do, after thoroughly searching your own neighborhood, is to stop by Animal Care & Control to report the lost pet, view the strays and check through found reports. You can visit us as often as you wish but you should stop in at least every couple of days to make sure the animal has not been brought in. Descriptions of the same animal can vary from one person to the next; so don't rely on a phone call to identify your pet.

A PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan is a procedure in which a small amount of radioactive glucose (sugar) is injected into a vein, and a scanner is used to make detailed, computerized pictures of areas inside the body where the glucose is used. PET scans show the difference between healthy and abnormally functioning tissues and can illuminate the changes in a brain that has memory impairment.

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) produces images of molecular-level physiological functioning, which can help physician identify normal and abnormal states. As in traditional nuclear medicine, PET uses radiopharmceuticals or "tracers," which are labeled with isotopes such as carbon, oxygen, nitrogen and fluorine. These isotopes mimic sugars, water, proteins and oxygen. As a result, PET can often reveal more about the cellular-level metabolic status of a disease than the CT or MR.

We encourage you to bring your furry faced friends. We never charge a pet deposit nor do we have size or weight limits. We do ask that you tell us that you're bringing your pets, since we want to make sure that they are as comfortable as you. As their pet guardian, we do expect you to know your pet. Meaning that if you need to crate them or leash them, please do. Since your pets will not be bringing their credit cards, any damages will be charged to yours.

Unfortunately the only pets allowed are Guide Dogs, and this has to be organised prior to your stay with the hostel manager.

Pets which are shipped rather than carried on-board the aircraft by a passenger are generally handled through the cargo facility for the airline, not in the passenger terminal, so please contact your airline or cargo handling company directly for details of where to drop-off/pick up your pet.

No. If you see a turtle crossing a road and want to help it, check carefully to make sure it is safe for you to enter the roadway, and then move the turtle across the road in the direction it was traveling. Putting a turtle on the side of the road it was coming from will only cause it to re-enter the roadway. They have strong homing instincts and it will no doubt continue its efforts to cross the road. Turtles seen on roads should not be picked up to take to a nature center or pet shop.

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) requires that each service delivery area (there are 20 in Georgia) have at least one comprehensive or full-service One-Stop Center. A One-Stop Center is a place where Employers and Job Seekers can access a wide range of workforce services. In Georgia, there are over 45 "full-service" One-Stop Centers, and most areas have several other locations for customers to access workforce services also.
