There's a lot you can do on Islay, too much to list here. A few options include visiting the distilleries, visit the many historic sites including Finlaggan or the Churches and Celtic Crosses on Islay, visit one of the many beaches or watch Islay's varied wildlife. Birdwatching is very popular, either visit the RSPB Loch Gruinart Reserve or go on a birdwatching tour with Islay Birding. That really depends on how adventurous you are. Many Tourists have gone spear fishing in the Belize River with our Cowboys. During the dry season the River is very low and crystal clear and catching fish with a spear gun is a great adventure. Fishing is another popular pastime at the Resort with Tarpon proving to be the favourite catch. Catfish also lurk in the depths of the Belize River.

I have had people come on the tours that were not into gardening like most of us are, but they seemed to enjoy the tour because they were with their friend or relative and there was enough outside the gardens that made them happy. Lots of times, when we visit a garden there is a castle, palace or house that is open to visit as well. On the free days there is much to enjoy...We try and have lunches in villages where there is always something unique to see besides gardens if you so choose...

Out of the many interesting courses available to BIA students, Musical Theatre and Ceramics are the top favorites. Students choose a production they would like to perform at the beginning of the year, and then practice for several months, putting in much of their own time and effort. After hours of hard work and preparation, the show is performed in Spring, for the students' families, friends, and staff.

There will be multiple leadership and skills development workshops at SGC that all delegates will attend. However, some of the time will be spent in smaller groups discussing specific ideas or projects. Most of the tours involve some walking. Any walking or ascending stairs on the high altitude tours is done slowly. People of all ages and levels of physical fitness have enjoyed the tours, but you will get the most out of the experience if you are accustomed to walking. Many people prepare for the tours by doing a brisk half-hour walk 3 days a week or other mild aerobic exercise.

It's not a bad idea to tag along with organized tours though it can cost many times more than a self arranged trip. Nevertheless, since Kathmandu is a small city and can be explored easily without organized tour, I recommend people to do self-visit to different places in Kathmandu.
