The DataHaven includes a wide range of community indicators that are publicly available and in the judgment of the Development Team may be of interest to a significant constituency in the Greater New Haven area. We believe that for the veterans affected, the information included name, and some or all of the following: date of birth, Social Security Number, address, insurance carrier and other insurance claim related information.

Your statement of purpose should be a professionally-written essay describing previous research experience (including your role in any projects), primary areas of interest, motives for graduate work and reasons for considering the Department of Biological Sciences for graduate work.

DataHaven is a community project of a volunteer Board of Directors. The site was produced and is currently maintained by Holt, Wexler & Farnam, LLP, a New Haven-based consulting firm, and the United Way of Connecticut.

DataHaven relies on investments from interested partners for its existence and continued development. The driving idea of DataHaven is that funders and others will be willing to invest in a project that (1) provides reliable data to assist funders, their grantees and the wider community in targeting public and philanthropic resources to the most pressing community needs and then (2) facilitates efforts to track progress in addressing those needs over time using objective measures.

The online searchable database contains all individuals and entities currently excluded. Individuals and entities who have been reinstated are removed from the LEIE. The downloadable database file contains all individuals and entities that were excluded as of the date the file was produced. The exclusion supplements contain all individuals and entities excluded during each month subsequent to the original LEIE.

Just-in-time information includes an up-to-date list of your current and pending research support and, if relevant to your project, full descriptions of research involving vertebrate animals and/or human subjects with required information and assurances.

For phase 3 entries, the DEFINITION line should contain the scientific name of the organism and the clone name and if available, the chromosome or map location. For phase 0, 1, and 2 HTGs, the definition line is generated automatically from the phase and the number of pieces present, plus all of the source information that is included in the source feature (the organism, clone, chromosome, etc.). In January 1995, 5057 gopher servers were indexed. The index also includes items from approximately 5000 other servers, in cases where those servers are referenced on gopher menus. The DataHaven Development Team makes that decision based on based on their knowledge of available data and community interest. Anyone may suggest additional data sets to the team and they will be considered for inclusion based on anticipated level of interest in the data and available resources for data preparation and uploading.
