I use PPD based Chemical hair dye, which makes my hair black. Which of your colour will suit me most. I like black what I have, but it will be great if it comes naturally.

Some people do experiment by mixing colors to come up a shade of their choice, which is ok. We can not guarantee any specific results.

Absolutely not. If you previously had light blonde hair, and then hennaed it to a richer, darker color, you will definitely notice shedding hairs, but only because of the darker color and not because of any change stemming from the henna. Everyone sheds approx. 150 hairs per day. And you may loosen many more hairs while completing the process. These are just hairs that would have loosened into your hairbrush or shower drain. But henna cannot cause additional healthy hair to fall out.

Henna is a translucent stain. If your skin is dark enough that your palms are lighter than the backs of your hands, your palms will take henna easily and beautifully, with excellent contrast. On the rest of your skin, you the henna will stain in the range of dark amber - red - burgundy - rust or brown contrasting the natural color of your skin. On darker skin, bold patterns are more likely to show up well than the fillagree work that shows up easily on pale skin.

Absolutely not. A “boxed” hair color will lighten your hair about 2 shades depending on the brand and strength. Those of you brunettes out there that have tried to go blonde with a boxed drugstore hair color are probably familiar with the brassy orange it will give you when the developer does not have the strength to lighten properly! In order to lighten hair’s natural color more than 2 shades or so, it must first be bleached, which cannot be done with pure plant products.

Henna can also be applied to the hair or scalp as a natural hair-conditioner, during summer for a cooling effect and for hair colour.Henna is a very good natural hair/scalp conditioner for oily hair. It is especially good for dandruff, and for people with sensitive scalp, who cannot use chemical hair colours, as it also colour the grey with no side effects.

Liscio cannot be done on hair that has a Henna product or any other metallic dyes or color restorers. If you are unsure about a color you've used in the past, ask your stylist.

If you have over 10% grey, we suggest doing a "test strand" first.  The following formulas work best: I do not recommend adding olive oil, yogurt or egg to henna when trying to cover gray hair.  It seems to interfer with the henna's ability to stick to the gray.

No. The henna color will remain on the hair even if high lift blonde tints or bleaches are used. (see removing henna).

No. Henna does not contain any lightening chemicals.  Blonde Henna brings out yellow and light brown highlights.  Marigold Blonde brings out gold and  yellow highlights.  Both add shine and body to grey hair.

Henna for hair is not as fine a quality as henna that is produced to decorate skin. It might work a little, but it won't work very well. Also, there may be other ingredients that can interfere with the henna stain on your skin, or the "hair henna" may include dyes that are not meant to be used on skin...those dyes may harm your skin!

When Bigen Powder Hair Colour is used to hair covered with Henna, it may affect colour results. This is because; the colour of Bigen Powder Hair Colour overlaps with the color of Henna strongly remained in hair shaft and it may prevent a desirable colour from being obtained. It is recommended that you should wait to use Bigen Powder Hair Colour until your hair grows and the colored part is cut.

To cover up dark facial hair, I would suggest a loose powder that is close to your skin tone or translucent. You can also use a compact powder. The loose powder will adhere to the hairs and blend them with your skin tone. However, if this doesn't work, I would recommend trying to remove the hair either with laser surgery or with electrolysis.

This is entirely up to you as you will know the condition of your hair, however generally this is not advised as bleaching too much can seriously damage your hair. You may want to try a purple/white toner if your hair merely has yellow tones to it , however if you really feel the need to bleach again use as low volume developer as you can and leave at least a few days between bleaching. Keep checking hair regularly throughout bleaching process.

A Yes, although for certain medical problems, we wouldn't recommend it. You can either organise this yourself or we can do it here at the studio. Because the fibre we use is non-porous, if you accidentally get the colour solution on the fibre itself, it'll have absolutely no effect - in fact, it just wipes off.

A Just like you would a natural head of hair! We'll give you full and individual instructions for this during your appointment. And, just to be sure, you'll also get the opportunity of a "first wash" a couple of days after your initial visit where you'll get a chance to wash and style your hair yourself, with our supervision.
