The library gratefully accepts donations of books and audio-visual materials. Donations are reviewed by library staff and are either added to the library's collection or offered for sale at the Library Book Sale, generally held in the spring. Proceeds from the book sales are used to support the collections and services of the library. Gifts may be dropped off at any time at the library's Technical Processing Department.

The North Grenville Public Library does accept book donations from the public. Books must be in good condition, paperback and hardcover. We do not accept manuals, text books, computer texts or damaged/moldy materials. The Library reserves the right to add donated books to our collection or to sell them in our ongoing books sales. Donating used books or audiovisual materials for the Library's ongoing book sale is very easy. Just bring your donations to the Check Out Desk, fill out a donation acknowledgment form, leaving your full name and address and approximate number of items. An acknowlegment letter will be sent to you expressing our appreciation for your gift but Library staff cannot make any dollar-value assessment for the donation for your tax purposes.

Yes. Flora Vista has a fully-stocked library/media center that is available to kindergarten - sixth grade. Classes visit the library/media center each week to check out books. Students also have access to the Boost Program, a reading program available to help students improve their reading skills. There is a computer lab available for class or group work.

The Library of Congress is a research library, and books are used only on the premises by members of the public. Anyone over high school age may use the collections. All patrons using the Library's reading rooms and/or collections must have a user card with a photo on it. User cards can be obtained at the reader registration station in Room LM140 of the Madison Building by presenting a driver's license or passport and completing a brief self- registration process.
