Yes. All newly admitted distance-learning students will start their coursework in the summer at the Summer Latin Institute, to allow for orientation. This is our chance to meet you in person and for you to meet us and your fellow students. Also, we always offer language courses over the summer and it is imperative that you take as many of these as possible. Furthermore, we give the MA and PhD exams over the summer.

Many of our programs cover the same general information about USC. Your decision as to which program you should attend depends largely on your schedule and the amount of time you hope to spend on campus. You may not attend more than one Explore program but could, for example, attend a reception in your home city in addition to an on campus program. It is not mandatory for any Modicare Consultant to attend training programs. Training programs are held to facilitate Consultants in their business building efforts, in planning and organizing their business. Since the training programs provide relevant inputs to Consultants to conduct business therefore people attending training programs have a better chance of being successful.

This situation arises occasionally, particularly with students serving in the military or traveling abroad. If you cannot attend an orientation program in the months prior to your enrollment, we encourage you to attend the one-day orientation session held just before classes begin for your term. Each college within the university handles class registration for its students. If you cannot attend orientation, you should contact your college.

Travel Study programs are open on a first-come, first-served basis. You do not have to be a UCLA student to participate, but you must be at least 18 years old and have completed high school before your program begins. Most programs are geared for undergraduates and offer undergraduate course credit. Our Archaeology, African Dance, and Business Language programs offer graduate level course credit. Participants are typically college students ages 18 to 24.

Enrollment at DLIFLC is reserved for members of the U.S. Armed Services (Active, Reserve and National Guard) and Federal Agencies. Students must be sponsored by their organization.

The Geropsychiatric Education Program (GPEP) provides education for community care providers who are employees of, or work for agencies contracted to Vancouver Coastal Health. This includes staff of residential care facilities, adult day centres, home support agencies, and community health services. The program also provides specific educational programs for community-based family caregivers.

Four times during our season, the whole family can enjoy the fun of camp! Campers can bring their family and friends to The Day Camp for our special Friday programs. Each program includes dinner, beginning at 7 p.m. and followed by an activity which runs to 9 p.m. Family Programs are included in camper's registration fees; additional siblings and friends aged 5-17 are $10 each, adults are $15.
