A recall has been part of California’s political system since 1911. It provides a mechanism for the public to attempt to remove elected public officials from office before the end of their term of office.

We believe we have isolated the issue to a specific line in our production facility, however the investigation is not complete. We think it’s important to expand the recall while we continue investigating to ensure that the families who eat our products every day stay safe and healthy.

The recall effort against two members of the Reform Alliance majority on the Tulsa City Council appears to be moving forward, with backing from leaders of the Tulsa Metro Chamber and an attorney with connections to R. Louis Reynolds, the real estate attorney whose reappointment to the city's water board was denied by the City Council majority. Councilors Chris Medlock and Jim Mautino received phone calls Saturday afternoon from Tulsa Whirled reporter P. J.

Totino's and Jeno's announced a voluntary recall of frozen pizzas with pepperoni toppings on Nov. 1, 2007. The recall was initiated voluntarily by the company because of the possibility of E. coli contamination of pizzas with pepperoni, though, to date, the company has found no evidence of E. coli contamination in its plant and no evidence of E. coli in any of its products, including pepperoni pizza toppings.

Return the pet food to the store where you purchased it and ask for a refund. Stores generally have a return and refund policy when a company has announced a recall of its products. If you cannot return the pet food immediately, store the food in a secure place where pets and children cannot get to it.

When the recall was first announced by Menu Foods, Inc., it was limited to the “cuts and gravy” style of food available in pouches and cans. On March 30, Hill’s Pet Nutrition voluntarily recalled one of its dry cat foods, after learning about the source of the contaminated wheat gluten, since the same wheat gluten had been used to make that food only.

By law, the proponents are those persons who signed the original Notice of Intention filed with the Secretary of State’s Office. There are 95 official proponents of the current recall drive against the Governor.

Only the signatures of registered California voters will be counted to qualify the recall for the ballot.

When the Governor is the target of a recall, the California Constitution requires the Lieutenant Governor to set the date of the recall election. It must be held between 60 and 80 days from the date the Secretary of State certifies that it has qualified, unless there is a statewide election within 180 days. It depends entirely on when signatures are turned in to county election officials and how many signatures are determined to be valid.

It will be in two parts. In the first part, voters will vote for or against the recall. In the second part, the voter may select a replacement candidate. If a majority of the voters vote “yes” on the first question, then the recall is successful, and the replacement candidate who gets the most votes is elected for the unexpired term of office.

Well, it was myself and I believe it was Mr. Buckingham, Mrs. Spahr, I believe Jen Miller, I believe Sheila. Well, the curriculum committee, Sheila Harkins, and I believe Casey Brown. There might have been somebody else there, I'm not sure all the people that were there.

We initiated this recall as a precaution ? not because we had found any evidence of E. coli in our facility or our products. We learned of the potential problem from state and federal public health authorities investigating 21 occurrences of E. coli-related illnesses in 10 states. Nine of the 21 individuals reported having eaten Totino's or Jeno's pizza with pepperoni topping at some point prior to becoming ill.

Our Pizza Rolls products are manufactured under a different process and on different production lines than our Totino's & Jeno's Pizzas. There are also no reported incidents of people getting sick from our pizza rolls.

The Fair Political Practices Commission is responsible for providing advice about campaign finance issues. They have issued a fact sheet indicating that contribution limits do apply to the replacement candidates.
