The software of the Jewel Case(JC) and CD Sleeve(CD) version is often a lighter edition. For example manufacturers generally don't provide technical support for CD Sleeve software.

A jewel case is a hard plastic case that houses the actual CD-ROM. It usually contains an information booklet describing the software and its installation. Sleeves are "environmentally conscience" packaging and simply are the CD-ROM housed in a paper or vinyl sleeve for safer shipping. All doumentation (help files) are contained on the actual CD. A Super Jewel Box is a newer, improved version of the ubiquitous original jewel case used with the majority of CDs. You can recognize a Super Jewel Box by it's rounded corners which are less prone to breaking when dropped, especially the hinges.
