Yes. Macs use a Gamma of 1.8, while Windows machines use a Gamma of 2.2. It is recommended that Mac users change their Gamma to 2.2 when working on web projects to see how images will appear on a Windows machine. The camera measures light from an object at each point in an image and assigns it a number from zero to 4095 depending on its brightness. Sometimes the scientist can't afford to send this amount of data for each pixel because of the amount of storage it takes. The camera has the ability to convert this range of values to those from zero to 255. The camera does this according to a preset table of values designed by the scientists.

These images are not taken in the same fashion as conventional x-rays, which is why they look different. However, if you take a close look at the images produced, you will find that they have much more information and are clearer than most conventional x-rays. They are different, but once you become familiar with the images, you will find them very helpful in diagnosis. Tk4 has a Motif compliant look and feel (LAF). If you want a more conformant Motif LAF, put: set tk_strictMotif 1 as close to the beginning of your program as possible. Tk reads that variable dynamically to determine whether it should maintain a strict Motif LAF. Tk4 strives to be Motif compliant and does not currently use either XView or Xt based widgets in its user interface, so an OpenLook compliant (or similar toolkit) interface is not possible.

Satellite sensors collect data by pixels. A pixel of data represents the electromagnetic energy reflected from or radiated by a given area of ground. All these pixels are like individual boxes in a grid, and they are put together to make the complete image. In a single rotation of its scan mirror, MODIS captures an area on Earth about 2300 kilometers wide by 10 kilometers tall (imagine a long, thin rectangle). For most classes, no. However, if you are taking a Computer Science course that requires a specific operating system, such as Windows, you can't use a Mac. QuickBooks Pro 2007 for Mac is built from the ground up for the Mac platform. It is not a "port" from Windows and it is designed to work for how Mac users work (not Windows users). The underlying technology of the two products is significantly different. For instance, new features in QuickBooks for Mac are built in Cocoa, which is only Mac specific. With that being the case, each year the QuickBooks for Mac team listens to customers and builds the top requested features.

The Cassini cameras are 1-megapixel cameras. A normal image is 1024 x 1024 pixels. Using a technique called "summation" the cameras have the ability to combine pixels together to get smaller but less noisy images. This results in smaller images that take a lot less time to readout out and take up less data volume. Summation is very useful if a scientist needs to conserve both. In the 2 x 2 mode, the camera takes a 2 x 2 pixel square and averages those values into a single pixel.

For the XL1 (which is the only camera I own), this varies depending on whether you used Frame Movie Mode or Regular video mode. With digital SLRs reasonably affordable, I no longer recommend this technique for images that are not cut out of moving video. At the same time, I also found that you can cut memorable stills out of your video when you're shooting live action, and I still recommend doing that. Just don't try to print the images; they won't look good.

This is due to AOL's implementation of compressed images or ART. Basically it takes shrinks the image by reducing it's resolution and making it look like crap. To fix this you need to find preferences in AOL 4.0 this is located under the button 'My AOL'. Once in this menu you need to find WWW Preferences and click on that, this should bring up yet another menu (get used to this, it is quite common on AOL) On that you will want to click on the last tab to get to the 'Web Graphics' menu.
