Simple answer: you CAN'T. Windows demands direct access to the hardware and cannot get it with Wine and UNIX in the way Wine is supposed to be primarily used WITHOUT Windows. If you want to use a Windows installation, then use an existing installation alongside the UNIX installation (see the dual-boot HOWTO for your OS for more details). Or alternatively use the cabextract utility to extract Windows install archives to a directory that you want to use as Wine's Windows tree.

I was just wondering if I can install any version of linux after using the software method, or if it has to be a special x-box specific version like ed's debian. The XBox has slightly non-standard hardware compared to a traditional i386 PC. You could theoretically use any Linux distro, as long as your kernel was built specifically for the XBox. Cross-installs are fairly difficult, though, so you should stick to one of hte pre-built XBox distros your first time out. Try using a different image.
