For best results, we recommend only one to two hours each day. Each audio CD contains 1 track that is 60 minutes long. It’s best to “sandwich” the audio’s by listening to it once in the morning, and again at night.

If you computer came pre-installed with a CD/R/RW drive then you should also have pre-installed software to use with the drive. Most commonly these programs are Roxio Easy CD Creator, Toast, or Ahead Nero. All are fine programs that will allow you to create audio CD’s with the file(s) you purchase from FoxTrotDance. Yes. Just put the CD in the Mac's CD-ROM drive after logging in. You can use iTunes to control the playback and access track names. Please be sure to use headphones so as not to disturb your fellow students. NOTE: ONLY USE STANDARD SIZED CDs! Do not attempt to put mini-CDs or business card CDs in the iMacs??? CD-ROM drives. Nonstandard CDs will get jammed, ruining both your CD and the iMac's CD-ROM drive.

This limitation is dependant on the Recording device that you are using. Most of the devices on the market will allow you to create music CD's that you can play on any Redbook audio compatible player. However many of the CD players have limited tolerances and require accurately written and high quality CDs. So you may have to record at 2X or even 1X and use high quality (gold) media. Also, most players will not play CD-RW media. You must record using CD-R media.

When you burn an audio CD, you can play the CD on any optical CD player that plays music (e.g., your car stereo, home audio system, boom box, or portable CD player). If you put your audio CD into the DVD drive, Windows will usually detect it and launch Windows Media Player, which has CD player controls. If not, click the Start button (lower left), then select Programs > Windows Media Player. You can then hear your music through your headphones.

When ADPCM audio clips are stored in IFF format on the disc instead of in realtime files (see What is an IFF file?, you can convert these into standard PC formats using the OptImage Audio Conversion Utilities (both available at the PC downloads for CD-i development page on this site). There is no playback utility available to date that allows you to play them back immediately without converting.

That is up to you. Some people like to listen in the morning just after getting up. Others like to listen right after work to revive themselves after a hard day. Others like to listen later in the evening, before bed. It is good, though, to have a set time of day so your listening session becomes a habit, like brushing your teeth.

While there's no permanent damage that can be done by over-using Holosync, it's generally best not to listen for more than three or four hours per day. If you find that you become restless during your sleep time, you feel mentally "spacey," if you become overly emotional, it may be a sign you are over-using your soundtracks. Simply reduce the amount of time spent listening or take a break for a day or two and the symptoms will disappear.

Use the software that came with your burner. Specify that the burn will be an "audio CD". Drag the mp3(s) to your layout. That's it. Note that you will get a maximum of 74 or 80 minutes of audio on each CD-R; this boils down to two 30-minute shows or one 60-minute show. Use 74min CD-R media for maximum playability. Some players have problems with CD-R, more with 80min media, and still more with CD-RW.

That's really beyond the scope of what I'm trying to do here, but you can generally do it with the software that came with your CD burner. There are two basic types of CDs you can burn, data and audio. You want audio in this case. Note that you may have to convert the MP3 file to .wav before your CD burning software will see it.

You may listen to the Life Magick CD as many times a day as you wish. Clients often tell me that when they feel anxious or fearful, they listen to it and instantly feel better. Use it as a tool for inner peace. Remember to take the Life Magick Medallion Talisman out of the tin and place it on the center of your chest each time you listen to the Life Magick CD.

You may listen to the CD more often than the suggested 24-minute minimum session, but listening should be limited to no more than two-and-a-half hours per day. Listening for more than the maximum recommended time of two-and-a-half hours per day could potentially cause the listener to feel overwhelmed.

You can save your work onto your 3.5 floppy disk or you can purchase a formatted disk at the front desk for $1. Our computers are currently not configured to save information onto any other format.

Only a few of our classrooms are equipped with stand-alone CD players. However, all of the PCs have CD drives and the software necessary to play music CDs. Data CDs created with CD-R and CD-RW drives can occasionally present problems, so it is always best to test your CD on the classroom computer before you need to use it. This is also true for DVDs.

Red Book Audio refers to the technical standards that have been set by the audio industry for the physical production of CDs, such as the overall dimension of the CD, the size of the CD hole and how the audio is burned on to the CD. This CD Audio format is not the same as the format of wav or MP3 files. CD Audio is designed for listening on a CD Player.
