Why is the AREIS Online window so small (or so big) on my screen?

Try changing your screen resolution. We have found through testing that a resoluton of 800x600 (or higher) yeilds the best results. If AREIS looks too small, lower your resolution. We have had reports of the map printing poorly. We are not able to replicate this error at our office but are looking into the problem. If you encounter this, PLEASE use the FEEDBACK and let us know the type of browser and printer(also if it is color or black & white) you are currently using.

Com Media Inc. - Logo FAQ's
Screen resolution is usually measured in pixels, and images that are of high resolution (150 DPI or more) will always appear very large. If you are printing the logo at home on your printer, check your graphics program to see if there is an "Image Properties" dialog box or menu. If you can locate this, verify that your "Print Size" is set to the desired dimensions. For usable quality the screen resolution should not be less than 100 DPI.

XV Frequently Asked Questions
In another of a long line of Design Decisions I Regret, xv tries to do all sorts of clever things with regard to the image window's position on screen. Clever when it works, a big pain in the ass when it doesn't.

For small examples, I have measured stress profiles through the thickness of 2.9 mm thick (0.1 inch) thick plate (unpublished). Is a Big Law Firm Better Than a Small One?

legalcareer.com : frequently asked questions
Generally, it's six of one, six of the other. In a smaller firm, you will get a lot more "hands on" experience in court, and in dealing with clients, during the early years of your career. Smaller firms cannot afford the luxury of a big bureaucracy, and will be under pressure to bring you up to speed as a performing (i.e. high billing) lawyer as quickly as possible. You will be thrown in over your head and expected to swim . . . fast.
