From the highest public level of the tower, at 273 metres, you can theoretically see for a distance of just over 59 km (a little under 37 miles). Many of our patients have traveled long distances to go through our successful knee program. The reason why doorknobs are located as far away from the hinges is possible is so that a person does not have to apply as much force to open the door. For example, suppose it takes 50 newtons to open a door that is one meter wide. If the doorknob were in the middle of the door (0.5 meters away from the hinges) then the person would need to apply 100 newtons of force on the doorknob to open the door.

You would be safe to travel home, even if you live far away, after discharge from the hospital. It is important to stand up and walk around every hour or so if travel requires sitting for long periods of time.

We recommend that you keep the bulk feed hopper as close to the gantry as possible. It can be further away but this would require an increased amount of air pressure and is not recommended.

Ideally the pump can be located up to 20’ away from the waterjet table. If the pump is placed further away from the machine, larger diameter high-pressure tubing will be required to reduce any pressure loss. This may add additional costs to your waterjet purchase. The pump can be located on a platform above the ground although they will both need to be accessed regularly for maintenance and operation.

Pole Position Campground is between a half and a full mile walking distance from the track depending on where you are in the campground. However, there is a tram stop very close by that will take you right up to the track.

It takes five seconds for sound to travel one mile. When you see a flash, count the number of seconds between until you hear the thunder and then divide by five to get the number of miles between the lightning and you. National lightning safety experts agree a good rule of thumb is if you count 30 seconds or less between the flash and thunder, you are in immediate danger and should seek safety.

Dangriga airport is about 30 minutes away from us. Jaguar Reef shares our transfer service with us and you will be picked up at the airport and transfered to Almond Beach. Belize International Airport is approximately three hours away by road. Pixel distortion or motion artifacts can occur on early generation plasma monitors when displaying an incoming signal with poor resolution (some cable channels - a signal of around 250 interlaced is generally poor). However, this "pixelating" effect is lessened by increasing viewing distance from the plasma display. With early generation models I generally viewed the proper distances as 8 to 12ft. on a 42" plasma tv and 12 to 16ft. or more on a 50" plasma.

It depends on the environment. With most homes, it will transmit very well over 300 feet. If many high frequency devices such as micro wave ovens, etc. are used, this may cause interference. With a clear line of sight (no obstacles) the system can transmit many thousands of feet away.

The current EkaNet system operates at a frequency of 915Mhz and has a range up to 300 meters between hub and first meter or between meters. Eka’s system will actually allow meter hopping to extend the range. By December 2002, Eka will also have a 2.4Ghz system available with a range of up to one-half mile between hub and meter and/or between meters.
