Yes. We do not transfer clearances. Your process may be expedited if you already have a security clearance but since we do not transfer them, you will still need to fill out the SF86.

If you accept an Offer of Service we will write to the NZ Defence Security Agency to request your current Security Clearance (if you have one) from your home country be transferred to New Zealand to cover you for a period of 1 year after enlistment.
