I was wondering if you had any good ideas to get rid of the smell from a skunk spray that is now on my dog because he thought they could be friends. If ya have any ideas i would love to hear about them. I used a baking soda, peroxide, and liquid soap combination and it worked ok but I was wondering if there was something better. Thanks a bunch. I imagine any of the good veterinary shampoos will do the trick, followed by a cologne type of coat spray. Have a chat to your vet for the best products.

Use the mist spray application and thoroughly spray effected area of dog’s coat. Rub into your pet’s coat to ensure that Petrotech Odor Eliminator penetrates into the coat and encapsulates the skunk spray. If you still smell skunk spray, reapply Petrotech Odor Eliminator on the affected area; it may not have made contact with the skunk odor source. Do NOT spray your pet’s eyes, nose, ears and mouth; spray Petrotech onto a clean cloth and rub it carefully on the face.

The following is a recipe for bathing your dog to remove skunk odor. Bathe the animal in 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, ¼ cup of baking soda, and 1 tsp of liquid detergent.
