While CrimeStar's absolute minimum specifications are very modest, we recommend that your computer be at least a Pentium 650Mhz. (or equivalent) and have at least 128 Megabytes of RAM and 400 Megabytes of available disk space. Because CrimeStar is a database application you will likely require several hundred megabytes of free disk space to store your data.

All CrimeStar products are true 32 bit software application which requires a true 32 (or 64) bit operating system such as Windows98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Windows Vista. While older versions of Crimestar software may run on Windows 95 or Windows NT, continued support for these operating systems has been phased out by Microsoft.

Quizilla run on a fairly large army of servers. Originally, it started out using one small underpowered computer in the founders basement, but has now grown into using a vast array of technology and hardware. Currently Quizilla runs on over 40 servers (as of September 1, 2005).

Generally, we suggest a minimum of 500 MHz processor and 500 MB RAM along with 1024x768 monitor setting. If using a 28.8 or 56K modem internet connection, then expect the application (6.8 MB) to take up to 40 minutes to download the first time.
