Not all cell phone services work in our area. Please be aware that regardless of whether or not your service works, in case of emergency you can dial 911 to get help and your cell phone will work. None of our cabins are equipped with phones but we do have a pay phone in the front of our office building. The phone is available 24 hours a day.

A cellular phone can be extremely helpful in the event of an emergency but cannot be relied upon. Communication is available only on some segments of the trails and only at some of the huts. From our experience, reception can vary, depending on location and quality of the phone. We ask that you keep the phone in the bottom of your pack, and that you respect others by not using it inside the hut. Most people go to the huts to get away from phones!

We are out of range for most cell phone networks , however there is some limited reception on the property. Guests with AT&T as their service provider seem best able to get a decent signal.

Most cell phone coverage ends in the area of the Dash-In convenience store and the Goldfield Ghost Town. There are pay phones available at the Dash-In convenience store.

Most new hearing aids contain RF immune circuitry and about half contain a telecoil. These digital hearing aids are designed to be usable with wireless devices with lower RF emissions and magnetic coupling ability. Your hearing healthcare professional will be able to tell you if your hearing aid is immune to RF interference and may need to contact the manufacturer of your hearing aid to determine its immunity rating.

Maybe, but it is best to assume it will NOT work. All our cabins have local phone service, accept incoming calls, and provide 911 services. Some of them have long-distance blocked, so we suggest you bring a calling card for long-distance dialing. Our rental agreement prohibits you from charging long-distance to our cabins, anyway. That being said, some cabins will get cellular service.

Bring your cell phone, as most Caribbean destinations have US-compatible cell service. Depending on your equipment and calling plan, a cell call will probably be less than a call from your room. Have a calling card available in case cell phone coverage is not available. You can check with your cellular phone service provider prior to departure to find out if they offer service in your destination are and to determine if any special settings need to be set when you arrive.

While you are docked in a US Port, your cell phone should work. Once you head out to sea, you will most likely lose your cell phone signal (unless you have a special satellite phone). All European providers use GSM standard for cell phone communication, so if you are from any European country, your phone will work seamlessly in Russia. You are likely to be charged premium roaming charges, so please check with your provider. They may have a calling plan that covers Russia so you won't incurr roaming charges. In USA: Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint use the older proprietary CDMA standard. Those phones WILL NOT work in Russia at all.

The amphitheatre is located at the bottom of a valley. Cell phone reception is iffy at best. Mostly, they don’t work.

Digital cell service is available in and near Yosemite Village to AT&T and Verizon customers (you may get a weak signal elsewhere in Yosemite Valley, as well).
