Students are permitted to take ONE course per session. In some, extreme circumstances, such as not having a full schedule in regular school, an additional course MAY be approved in writing by the VHS Coordinator. Additional courses will not be approved for the six week summer session. The VHS is a supplement to the regular school schedule, not a replacement.

Any and all courses offered as part of a Marketing Education program require a Marketing Education teaching certificate. Other courses, such as Business Technology, Agriculture, Industrial Education programs, and occupational Family and Consumer Science courses also require the appropriate career educational teaching certificate. You can check the Core Data Manual on the DESE website to see which courses require which teaching certificate.

No specific courses are required; but music, electronics, computer literacy, fine art, science, communications, drama/theatre and media courses would help prepare you for an education in audio engineering.

Satellite High School welcomes all students, age 14-100, regardless of past educational history. Our program is beneficial for all students, including remedial, average, and gifted students, home-schooled students, students who have health or family problems, teens who are pregnant or have young children, teens who have dropped out of school, adults of all ages, and students who have been suspended or expelled from their own high schools.

The State of Washington High School Diploma requires course credits in English, Math, Social Studies, Life Science, Occupational Education, Physical Education and Electives. Your high school transcripts will be evaluated to determine which courses you have already taken and which courses you will take at EdCC.

Florida Virtual School offers over 85 middle and high school courses-from general to honors courses and 11 Advanced Placement (AP) classes. In addition to the core academic areas, FLVS offers courses in foreign language, art, PE, health, business, and computer science. FLVS also offers classes in FCAT and SAT prep. In addition, FLVS offers AP review classes in the spring. The review classes are open to students taking AP classes, even if they take them at schools other than FLVS.

Anyone 16 years of age or older can take courses through GVTC. However, if you are a current high school student, you should check with your parents and/or high school counselor before taking any college level course. Students under 16 years of age are generally not allowed to take GVTC courses.

You can upgrade some high school sciences at UNBC in order to meet course prerequisites. For example we offer the equivalent to Physics 12 and Math 12. However you cannot do general upgrading at UNBC; you must meet general admission requirements in order to take any class for credit at the university.
