Meteorite finds range in size from particles weighing only a few grams, up to the largest known specimen: the Hoba meteorite, found in South Africa in 1920, and weighing about 60 tons (54,000 kg). As with the magnitude distribution of meteors, the number of meteorites decreases exponentially with increasing size. Thus, the majority of falls will produce only a few scattered kilograms of material, with large meteorites being quite rare.

Therefore, the Earth, which is extremely massive, and an apple, that also has mass, would be attracted by gravitational force that would cause both objects to accelerate toward each other. The reason why the apple is moving more than the Earth is because the Earth has much more mass than the apple, thus more inertia; as a result, the Earth is less willing to move toward the apple.

The specimen retains this number until all the meteorites arrive at the lab at Johnson Space Center.

A: You'll notice that the hardbox around things like houses just doesn't do the job. Hardboxes have to be rectangular, and things like houses are too complex for this to work. There are at least three methods to "fill in" the hardness around a house. It's probably best to set its hardness type to 1 (not hard) and totally draw the hardness yourself as explained below. The Antarctic Treaty governs and protects the scientific integrity of all research taking place on the continent of Antarctica, and forbids the removal of specimens of any kind from that continent except as samples to be used for scientific research. After each new specimen arrives at the Johnson Space Center, and has been freeze-dried to remove any ice or snow, technicians there carefully examine the meteorite both macro- and microscopically. Small chips are broken off of each specimen for initial study, by curatorial staff at both JSC and at the Smithsonian.

During the indexing process, the indexer application tries to identify models which are similar to each other, and places them into a single cluster. Browsing the clusters helps a user quickly identify the broad classes of parts that are available in the database. One can also rename the cluster names (and duplicate groups) and give them meaningful names.
