Which airlines participate? Why don't all the airlines permit frequent flyers to donate miles?

The list of participating airlines changes, so please refer to the "Hero Miles" section of the Fisher House Foundation web site for the most current list. For several airlines, the Foundation has a very large balance of frequent flyer miles, so the airlines do not want their passengers to donate miles that may not be used. If our balance drops below a certain level, the airline will reopen the program to donations from its passengers.
