It comes down to four things: Wood, Electronics, Paint, and Hardware. Changing any one of these things on your guitar can yield good results, but they all play a big part in the tone of your instrument. A guitar made with quality tone woods, hardware, and electronics, thats finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, will always sound better than a guitar made with cheap laminated woods, hardware, and electronics thats finished in polyuthothane.

Make sure the sound is not muted on the TV or digital box. Turn the volume up about halfway on the TV and then set the audio to Optimal Stereo in the digital box. To access this press MENU, SETUP, AUDIO, OPTIMAL STEREO and switch to YES. If there is still no sound try unplugging your digital box for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. Once the digital box is plugged back in it will take about 30 minutes for the guide and menu to download again.

Providing you've got a clean source signal, analog recordings generally sound fine, giving nearly inaudible differences from digital ones. Note however that many computer soundcards have noisy analog output stages, so when recording from a computer, digital transfers are recommended (one exception is the USB based Xitel MD-Port AN1 which runs outside of the PC chassis and produces good quiet analog output).

Because it's not pragmatic to do so. It makes no sense to spend 150 hours reworking the audio on an OTR disc that isn't intended for audiophiles anyway . And some source media is in such bad shape it's a "sow's ear" situation.

This is probably due to one of two things (assuming you've checked the volume and speaker/headphone cables): you are using the Disk Writer plugin; select the preferences and change output plugin to the Solaris one. This is not an issue as of version 1.2.4 of XMMS as it will, by default, use the Solaris plugin on Solaris machines. You haven't selected the correct output ports. Solaris audio has 3 outputs; headphones, line out and speaker (ie, the internal speaker).

You may have turned off the sound for your screen saver. Right click on the desktop, go to "Properties" and click the "Screen Saver" tab. Once there, click the "Settings..." button. Adding higher-quality speakers, especially if you add a powered subwoofer, will improve the sound quality without a sound card upgrade. If you want to add Dolby Digital surround sound and your existing sound card is not compatible, you will need to consider a card upgrade.

The playing of shakuhachi is simply concentrating on focussing your breath for as long as possible. That is all. The fact that this concentrated exhalation results in a sound is not the issue. Take the example of electrons passing through a fluorescent tube. They travel, with great intensity from one electrode to the electrode at the other end. That is all. Their job is finished. One of the main reasons for muffled tones on a guitar is the placement of the fingers of the left hand. As you press the strings down, you need to be right behind the fret because you want a clear path for the string between the fret and the saddle. If you play right on top of the fret, you'll get a muted sound. If you play too far away from the fret, the string will buzz on top of the fret. You have to get your fingertips to point straight down to the sweet spot behind the fret.

You should ensure that you have the latest drivers for your soundcard installed, and that they are compatible with DirectX. Also ensure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed. Your soundcard may also have different modes of DirectSound interface, of which only some work with CCS64. Enter the Sound-menu in CCS64 and try to change the Sound Device settings, hopefully some other setting will work.

In a script written for audio theater, a slamming door or a ringing phone may sound just right. But because we are recording the complete text of already published books, sound effects are often redundant. For example, if the author has written "Then the phone rang" and right after that we put in the sound of a ringing phone, it's like saying the same thing twice. About the only sound effects we use are on the voices themselves.

If your sounds or daub controls are not working, first be sure that those controls are active within your game. Most online bingo sites will offer an options button to control the caller and daubers. Check your computer with the Wizard. One of the tests will determine if you can hear sound. In order to hear sound over the Internet, you need a sound card and either speakers or a headset, and the volume has to be turned up.
