Heavy Duty non-rechargeable batteries, also recognized as carbon zinc or zinc chloride, provide dependable, economic power solutions for every day use. Generally used in low drain, consumer electronics, heavy duty batteries are configured in the most common sizes (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V), as well as, specialty sizes for telecommunications, hobby and industrial uses.

The term Super Heavy Duty (SHD) refers to the zinc chloride carbon zinc (CZn) chemical system which has largely replaced the LeClanché CZn “General Purpose” chemical system. Alkaline batteries are a premium product. Carbon zinc batteries are best suited for low drain applications such as clocks and simple smoke alarms or short intermittency devices such as remote controls.

Most table lamps, which accept fabric shades are set up with industry standard Regular Weight harps and Regular Weight harp bases. We recommend that you order Regular Weight harps for your lamps. If your lamp already has a harp base (metal piece mounted below the socket that looks like rabbit ears) and you want to change the length of your harp, then you can use a Regular Weight harp. A Regular Weight harp will fit either a Regular Weight harp base or a Heavy Duty harp base.

A good rule of thumb is to base your decision on how much deer pressure you have and how large of an enclosure you wish to make. If you have a small backyard, and not much deer pressure, then the standard fence would be more than adequate. If you have more than 400’ linear feet and the pressure is fairly intense, we highly recommend using the Heavy-Duty Fence.

Yes; we do not carry "light duty" scaffolding. Our sets all rate over 60,000 lbs to collapse. Osha generally allows a manufacturer to rate their product with a 4 to 1 load safety margin. We like 16 to 1. So 60,000/16 = 3,750lbs. We like being on the safe side of things. Rest assured that rating our sets at 3,750 with a 16X safety factor should assure you of the ability of one or two men to stand high up with the utmost in safety and confidence.

It is not essential by any means. In our starter packs we include a medium weight cover (not the poor quality lightweight covers) which is perfectly sufficient. If you feel you need a heavy duty cover, we do carry them in stock and on average they cost £10 extra.Back to the top

This depends on the cruising range you would like and the size of the boat. As a rough guide for a 27ft cruiser with a range of 12 hours the weight is 390kg of leisure batteries. A 22' yacht, only needing 4 hours cruising, might need only 60-80kg. Yes. In cold weather, in winter, the batteries give less charge than when it is hot. And in the summer the motor and controller do not like to be very hot ? but a fan sorts this out.

Zinc oxide and lacquer primer are suitable as prime coats, but one must consider the topcoat that will be used over them. As far as preparing the aluminum for primer. You need to etch it with Alumaprep and then treat it with Alodine. This removes any corrosion and treats the material surface so no new corrosion won't start any time soon. You should prime within 24 hours of this process. This is the mil-spec way of of preparing aluminum.

Eventually, the Heavy Duty Staticide will be abraded off by any friction or if it is washed off with soap and water. Specifically, general vacuuming will not remove the Staticide treatment but shampooing will.
