We have many traveling clients. Some choose to undergo the program with a spouse, significant other or colleague. Others bring a significant other to participate in spa activities over the course of the day. Additionally, we are happy to provide hotel and tourism information to make your short stay as enjoyable and convenient as possible. Lastly, we are located minutes away from Penn Station and the day evaluation can be performed with an early evening return for any Tri-State destination.

We have patients living in and around New York; many of our patients come from other regions, and from other countries. It makes sense for some patients to come a long way because the resources we offer may not be available anywhere near where they live. We endeavor to accommodate long-distance patients by coordinating their visits so that everything that requires their physical presence at our center (physical exams etc.

Many of our patients have traveled long distances to go through our successful knee program. If it is not possible to come in several times a week then we tailor a schedule that meets your individual treatment needs. A few of our patients live too far away to drive back and forth from home, so they stay with family nearby or at a hotel near the clinic during the duration of their treatments.

You would be safe to travel home, even if you live far away, after discharge from the hospital. It is important to stand up and walk around every hour or so if travel requires sitting for long periods of time.

The Fresh Breath Clinic's unique assessment & treatment service is very special and there is nothing similar to it anywhere else in the world. At this time we are not able to recommend or endorse any other service or organisation for bad breath treatment. We do recommend thorough medical and dental examinations to rule out any physical or dental causes, and a complete daily oral cleaning routine which includes flossing and tongue cleaning.

If your travel distance is great you might want to spend the night before surgery in the Kingsport area. There are a few moderately priced hotels nearby. A list of these is available upon request.

A Neuropsychological Evaluation involves a wide variety of different types of tasks, some with paper and pencil, some computerized, etc. There are no invasive procedures, such as needles or electrodes and ideally the testing will be interesting and even fun. The evaluation often takes 4 or 5 hours of testing time although this can vary. The evaluation is generally scheduled in two appointments or if necessary in a series of appointments.

All Volunteer Firefighters are issued fire department pagers that enable you to hear emergency dispatches in your community. Volunteers are encouraged to respond to emergencies on fire/rescue equipment, however they are authorized to respond to certain nearby emergencies in their private vehicles under strict guidelines. Motor vehicle laws must be adhered to and at no time shall any rotating or flashing lights or siren be used with private vehicles.

Our membership includes residents from all over the Northern California coast - many live in the San Francisco Bay Area counties, and in cities throughout Northern California from Mendocino to Grass Valley to Santa Cruz. You may want to see if other members would be willing to work with you on driving to pick-up orders, so you don't have to drive a long distance each month.

First, we suggest you check to see if there are any surgeons in your area who perform bariatric surgery. If you live within driving distance of San Antonio, we will be happy to see you and discuss surgery! We can coordinate with your local physician on your preparation for surgery and arrange for him or her to assume some aspects of your follow-up care.

If you have to drive more than 70 miles from your home to the courthouse you may be reimbursed for an overnight stay if you choose not to return home. Any income received for jury attendance must be reported as income for tax purposes. The court will issue you an IRS Form 1099 if your income from jury attendance exceeds $600. However, you do not need to report travel and parking reimbursement as income.

If you need to stay on campus for any length of time during vacation periods, you should indicate this choice on your Housing Preference Questionnaire. Returning students needing break housing should choose a room in Clement, Clinton, Red Jacket, Richmond, or Schoellkopf Halls. These halls remain open during the fall, winter, and spring recesses.
