Most of the time this is because your computer, though try as it might, just cannot process all the data necessary to redraw the picture 24-30 frames per second and manage the sound as well. This happens most often if you are watching a movie in full screen on a computer that meets minimum requirements, but not the recommended ones. Revisit the system requirements.

On most machines, an Apple feature called DirectDraw affects the QuickTime display. Video playback on secondary monitors for some systems may play better with this on, and others with it off. You should experiment with these settings to see which one works best for your system. To get to these QuickTime settings: If you still experience jumpy playback, try setting QuickTime to Safe Mode from the same Preference dialog.

Some films, especially those over two hours long or encoded at a high data rate, are spread across two layers on one side of the disc. When the player changes to the second layer, the video and audio may freeze for a moment. The length of the pause depends on the player and on the layout of the disc. The pause is not a defect in the player or the disc.

Playback uses MIDI, normally through the customer's soundcard. The quality of MIDI sounds depends on the customer's equipment, but most recent computers have good soundcards and produce surprisingly effective playback. Scorch plays back using the correct instrumental sounds with stereo and reverb. It reads musical markings such as dynamics and tempo marks, and can also adjust Sibelius' Espressivo and swing features to make playback even more realistic.

There are two approaches to sound on modern kernels: OSS or ALSA. OSS is the older of the two options and has been depreciated, but still functions well for many older Macs. ALSA is the newer method and will continue to be supported in the future. We recommend that you use ALSA unless you have problems with it.

There could be a few reasons for this. Closing other applications will improve the performance of yL. Also, a broadband connection might be slower during peak hours. You computer's processor may be overtaxed. yL requires a minimum speed 700MHz processor to correctly process and display high-quality video.

A Super 8mm strip of film with stereo sound. For "mono" films, the stripe is only on the side opposite the sprockets. A 16mm strip of film with stereo sound. Older or "mono" sound will only have the one "wiggly" stripe. Note there is only one set of sprocket holes. Yes, we are capable of transferring 16mm films that have either optical or magnetic soundtracks on them. Yes. Most people only have opening and closing titles, but you may certainly insert titles between reels. There is an additional cost for this service. The most common opening title is "Precious Memories of the ____ Family" and the most popular closing title is "Thanks for the Memories!"

This is easy for very small events, but challenging when the guest list climbs toward 100 or more. In my experience, the best way, when having formal seated dinner service is to get table shots (before main course, preferably). Or, have the master of ceremonies call for a huge group shot of all the guests. It's fun and makes a great shot for the album!
