DataHaven is a community project of a volunteer Board of Directors. The site was produced and is currently maintained by Holt, Wexler & Farnam, LLP, a New Haven-based consulting firm, and the United Way of Connecticut.

DataHaven is overseen by a Board of Directors. The site development is guided by a Development Team consisting of board members and the contractors retained to develop the site.

All users are encouraged to join in making DataHaven all that it can be. Participation can take many forms from participating in DataHaven listserv, to work on securing and preparing useful datasets from your work or the work of others for upload to the site, to participation in the Development Team. DataHaven relies on investments from interested partners for its existence and continued development. The driving idea of DataHaven is that funders and others will be willing to invest in a project that (1) provides reliable data to assist funders, their grantees and the wider community in targeting public and philanthropic resources to the most pressing community needs and then (2) facilitates efforts to track progress in addressing those needs over time using objective measures.

Dumbbells permit individualized and optimized alignment of joints, making the exercises both safer and more effective. Furthermore, with the dumbbells, you are exercising in a three dimensional environment (compared to a machine where it is more linear and two dimensional, so to say), and so your muscle workout is more complete and more real.

More than 85 full-day training sessions were held across the state between January and April 2007. More that 7000 assessors attended these training events. Training materials from these sessions, including the PowerPoint slides and the handouts, can be found at www.draccess.org. While downloading and using the exercise files can further facilitate learning, the exercise files are not essential. The self-paced training usually involves the manipulation of assets, such as an image, web page, or design, for the purpose of reinforcing the topic at hand. Those with Premium access are able to download the very same files being manipulated by the trainer, so that they can follow every exercise, step-by-step, using the exact same assets.

The BETAsoft programs were designed to be intuitive and easy to use. There is no need for formal training. Our software was initially created to target electrical engineers who have minor knowledge of thermal analysis. Spending as little as 15 minutes working with the Demo program is a sufficient amount of time for a customer to understand and learn how to use the software.

CeLSIUS has produced six interactive online training modules, covering ethnicity, socio-economic indicators, defining a study population, LS outputs, households and families and geography. A new module on statistical analyses is currently under construction and will be available shortly.

The Scottish Lime Centre Trust, through 'Charlestown Workshops' provide a wide range of short training courses, whether you are a building contractor, a building professional, or homeowner. The DataHaven includes a wide range of community indicators that are publicly available and in the judgment of the Development Team may be of interest to a significant constituency in the Greater New Haven area. This includes data on education, housing, health, civic participation and general demographics. For a complete list of the indicators, see our Indicator List

The DataHaven Development Team makes that decision based on based on their knowledge of available data and community interest. Anyone may suggest additional data sets to the team and they will be considered for inclusion based on anticipated level of interest in the data and available resources for data preparation and uploading.

Spirit of the Heartland has three EFM groups already meeting, each two or three times a month.. Team ministers are required to attend. The groups are open to all interested and include people outside of our three parishes. Once a month the whole team gathers for group formation. Individual ministry-specific training or "Field Education" is included in the third year of the program.
