Some mail you are waiting for and yet do not receive may be mis-labelled as spam. You can find the spam folders in your email server under the mail directory. You can see them using webmail or by setting your email client in the IMAP mode instead of the POP3 mode. The temporary spam folders will be named as "spam-of-YYYYMM", where YYYY and MM are the year and month in which the spam messages are saved.

If SpamBayes identifies a message correctly then it is fine to delete it. After a message is identified, SpamBayes only uses the message if you need to train an unsure or incorrect identification. It is also safe to delete any messages that you have already trained on using the "Delete as Spam" and "Recover from Spam" buttons. All the information that SpamBayes needs to know about trained messages is stored in a separate file.

All email in the Spam Folder that are older than 30 days will be automatically deleted. If you wish to keep a message in your Spam Folder you must move it to another folder. If you delete the Spam Folder, the next time we detect a spam message/email, the folder will be recreated automatically. Please note that the Spam Folder forms part of your mailbox quota. You can manually delete the messages in your Spam Folder so that you keep your mailbox quota under control.

You can restore all folders except 'Trash'' and 'Junk Mail'. We keep backups for a week, so make sure you send in your restoration request as quickly as possible.
