The dorms are modern with four students per room. Each room has its own bathroom, tub and shower. The dorms also have a locker for you to place all of your items in. The center will provide the lock for these lockers. The dorms have a small common lounge expressly for the use of the residents of that dorm. The dorms have microwaves, refrigerators, televisions, sofas, tables and chairs. The dorms share laundry facilities.

We offer both private and semi-private rooms. If you would prefer to reserve a private room, please inform us at the earliest possible time to insure that space will be available.

Instead of just hearing direct sound coming from each loudspeaker you also hear reflected sound. Each reflection represents a different path and arrives at your ears at a different time. Human hearing blends direct and reflected sound into one, but the original sound has been replicated, changed by the room and added to the clean direct sound. This is called room distortion. And each listener, depending where they are sitting in the room, experiences this distortion quite differently.

We do have different room types however some rooms are limited and will depend on the length of time you are staying. All rooms have a bed, a desk, a chair, a lamp, a wardrobe and a small fridge.

Each room can be set to your desired temperature. Look for a small monitor on the wall (normally next to the window) and press the up or down arrow to increase or decrease desired temperature settings. You can set the temperature down in the 50s, but it never really gets that cold.

During the spring semester, all current residents who wish to remain in campus housing for the following year must participate in the room reservation process (Room Draw). Through this process students may either choose to remain in their current rooms (Retention) (first-year areas are not retainable) or choose a different room (Selection) with the roommate(s) of their choice.

The ideal growing temperature range for the Tillandsias is between the low 70's to mid 80's although they will tolerate temps from close to freezing to over 100 degrees with an adjustment for care due to the more extreme conditions.

Savvy European travelers realize that European hotel rooms are not of the same size and quality as their American counterparts. However, we do not use properties with shared bathrooms. The rooms may in fact be smaller and more spartan than an American room, but they will be neat, clean, and still have most of the amenities Americans have come to expect. Residents may request relocation to another rental space by providing thirty (30) days written notice to University Housing and Residence Life of the desire to relocate. Housing and Residence Life, at its sole discretion, may allow or refuse the relocation request. Housing and Residence Life allows the resident to relocate, prior to relocation, the resident shall pay a $100 relocation fee for the costs associated with the relocation.

Each station will receive a small specialized processor, a bar code scanner, metal cart, monitor, keyboard and related cables and cords. The unit will take up approximately four square feet of floor space (20 inches wide by 26 inches deep). The equipment will be delivered to the station, set up and tested.

Private rooms may be available. Private room reservations require a 1000 dollar per month surcharge. If there is difficulty with rooming, staff will work to resolve issues and/or change your room.

Both groups of people should prefix their group names with the same unique name. For example, for these two groups: We will attempt to put all people that indicate "supergroup_skiers" in the same room, and we will attempt to put all people that indicate "supergroup_boarders" in another. Additionally, we will attempt to put the two rooms as close together as possible.
