Flying the kite is a major factor in kiteboarding and must be learned in a safe and competent way to avoid injury to yourself and others. Our instructors will teach you in a step by step approach, starting with a small 4 line kite on 10m lines and moving to 25m lines, then to the larger and more powerful kites for body dragging and board riding. We teach you how to Kiteboard in a safe manner including all those helpful hints that experienced kiteboarders have learnt though trial and error.

The Beginner's course is very popular and there are a limited number of places each year. To join the course you must complete an application form and obtain confirmation that you have been allowed to join the course. We regret we cannot accept any people turning up without pre-registration.

We teach our Absolute Beginners in a progressive 8 week course, because we feel that teaching the basics in this format helps create a solid foundation for pupils, preparing them for future levels. We have taught our beginners this way from the start and you will find that most reputable teachers are also going over to this format.

If after the course you feel confident enough to take your Salsa dancing to the next level, you can move up to the Improver class, most people can successfully do this at the end of their beginner course, but we would like to make the following recommendation. Tango: The Beginners Tango Course is suitable for raw beginners. We teach from the basics assuming no prior dance experience. Salsa: The Beginners level casual classes are suitable for raw beginners. Students remain in this class until they are comfortable with some of the fundamentals of salsa and progress to the Level I class. The basic steps plus a turn is taught each class, allowing new students to join this class at any point whilst developing the skills of existing beginner students.

the end of a 10 or 11-week beginners course, some students are ready to progress into Level 1, which caters for students with experience from 10-weeks to one year. However some students will benefit from repeating the beginners course to consolidate what they have learnt. There are some students who are content with repeating the Beginners classes many times. After you have been attending classes regularly for 12 months, discuss with your teacher about moving up to a more advanced class.

You don't need any previous experience. The lessons start with the basics and will take you where you want to go. There's no need for private instructions but you will find the course helpful if you are studying with an instructor.
