For applicants who obtain their degrees from a university in a non-English-speaking country (e.g., Mainland China), they are required to submit one of the following scores in their applications for assessing their English language proficiency: TOFEL; College English Test (CET) of PRC; IELTS. A number of general and academic English Courses are offered at our English Language Centre at UEL. You can choose from pre-sessional courses or in-sessional courses. Pre-sessional courses are aimed at international students who already have a conditional offer from UEL or another UK university. They are designed to improve your language and academic skills so that you are ready for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree. In-sessional courses are for students enroled at UEL.

As all courses are conducted in English, we require that applicants demonstrate competence in English to meet minimum requirements at different levels of studies.
