A band can play between 10-12 songs in an hour. So for a typical four-hour event the band will play between 40 and 50 songs

Sure – we're pretty cool about that. If you want to play one of our parodies, just let us know that you're doing it and make sure you get permission from the owner of the rights to the music as well. For our non parodies, just let us know and you're free to perform. All we ask is that you give us credit and that you don't make commercial recordings (or even non-commercial ones) without discussing it with us first.

Since a majority of our performances are private functions, your best bet is to call us about our upcoming schedule. Usually it is OK to come out to a wedding and listen to/view the band. You must be appropriately attired in dress clothes. Each function and facility has its own guidelines for viewers, including some that do not allow any viewers. Please also refer to our band rehearsals.

Yes, in most cases they can. The venue in which the band plays must hold an APRA licence; it is not the responsibility of the individual bands. The APRA licence gives the venue a blanket licence to authorise the performance of all copyright music.

There are many possible answers to your question. Below is a troubleshooting procedure that may help. How to find out: Find a .wav file by using the Search or Find function of your operating system (search for *.wav) and double-click on it. Yes. 99% of the time, I can get songs for even the most obscure requests. Nonetheless, if you already have them on a CD, I'll be happy to play them from your disc. For example, I had a client who was from an Irish family, and many of her family members were trained in Irish step dancing ("Riverdance") with specific Irish folk songs. I have a few Irish songs, but that was a case where her CD's were necessary for the exact sound and instrumentation the dancers were looking for.

The set list usually starts with "Mexico" and ends with "Nada." As far as the other 40 or songs in between, your guess is as good as ours. Expect anything and everything.

If you are having this problem then it is the result of some unusual settings when you encoded your MP3 or incorrect MP3 files. Encodings made with MP3PRO technology are currently not support. Try re-encoding your MP3 files using the recommended settings as above and re-upload them.

Yes. If you’ve written a song and are interested in playing it in BandWorks, be sure to contact us when you register and let us know. We encourage musicians to bring in their own songs, and we’ve found that other band members are almost always eager to play original music written by one of their bandmates. We’ll talk with you about putting together a chart for the band, and possibly making a recording for reference.
