Upload to the directory called "public_html". Usuallly you would connect to ftp.YOUR-DOMAIN.com, with your login/password. If your DOMAIN is waiting to be propagated, then you may connect to the SERVER IP that given in the welcome E-Mail. This can happen if, while uploading to your account, you approach to within 3-5% of your maximum disk space. This is initiated by the server as an emergency precautionary measure.

You will have complete ftp access to your account so that you can upload, download and edit your file. You can use any ftp client to upload your files to your web space. We do recommend SmartFTP, Core FTP.

FTP to "ftp.stmarysisc.org" and use your userid and passwor. You will automatically be taken to your personal directory. No one else has permission to upload to your directory. There are a few different ways you can upload files to your website. The most common is to use a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program that would connect to our server and allow you to log in and copy your files to the correct location on the server. CGI scripts can be executed anywhere on site. They do not need to be placed in a CGI-BIN. However for safety reasons we recommend you place them in the public_html/cgi-bin/ subdirectory of your account. Most scripts are then generally CHMODDED to 755.

To make your website files available at http://www.yourdomain.com, you need to put them in your assigned directory which will be given to you once you are signed up. Yes, you can upload your own certificates to the Zendit Public Lock Directory so that they are available to others who wish to send you encrypted e-mail. The Active Directory is Microsoft's implementation of a 'Directory Service' and a directory service is basically something that stores data in an organized format and has the mechanisms needed to publish and access the data.
