Since a majority of our performances are private functions, your best bet is to call us about our upcoming schedule. Usually it is OK to come out to a wedding and listen to/view the band. You must be appropriately attired in dress clothes. Each function and facility has its own guidelines for viewers, including some that do not allow any viewers. Please also refer to our band rehearsals.

Your child will be grouped with other young musicians based on age, ability, experience, interest, and style.

A word of caution: You may not want your child's name displayed in public view. Please re-consider this option before ordering. Yes you can but this would be considered a "custom" made band. There is additional cost involved in the production of such a band. If this is what you would really like it can be done but we would suggest ordering several bands in different sizes. That way as your child grows you will have a band for them in the future.

If the season has not started and the uniform is returned in original condition you may be eligible to receive a full refund. Once a player ID card has been created (about August 1st in the Fall and February15th in the Spring) your refund is reduced by $40.

We require every ALITHSA player to play at least one season at the proper age level before this can be considered. The season must be immediately preceding the season for which you want your child to move up. If you feel your child is ready to move up ONE level, your current coach and the Recreational Director must be in agreement that it would be appropriate, and then the President makes the final determination.

Yes. Licensing requires that children have an outdoor time daily. Please bring jacket, mittens, gloves, etc. so that your child can enjoy the healthy outdoors. It is usually the adults who are uncomfortable with the cold not the children.

The CYJO presents six concerts at the Southern Theatre each year, prior to the Columbus Jazz Orchestra (CJO) Sunday matinee performances of their Swingin' at the Southern series. We also accept a small number of community and festival requests for performances, when time permits.

A band can play between 10-12 songs in an hour. So for a typical four-hour event the band will play between 40 and 50 songs

Your contract will state the cost per half hour for overtime of the band. If you decide that you want the band to play beyond their contracted time, please let your band leader know at the event. You will be asked to sign an overtime authorization sheet and we will invoice you after the event.

Because I love vocal rock music too. I don't have to be the centre of attention, although thankfully in the band I am appreciated and get to express myself in a way I feel appropriate for commercial rock. The singer is my best friend and we have heaps of fun. When you see us live you'll always get a good dose of my guitar playing, albeit less than at an instrumental show. Being in the band means I get to play really regularly too and I'd rather do that than be a bedroom guitar hero.

We welcome any one of your guests to come up and sing or play a song alone or with the band for a special dedication or just for fun. If you know ahead of time, please notify the band so we may prepare the proper song, key, etc. to ensure a professional performance the day of your wedding.

The band plays salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, bolero, spanish rock and variety. The band performs in English and Spanish.

Sure – we're pretty cool about that. If you want to play one of our parodies, just let us know that you're doing it and make sure you get permission from the owner of the rights to the music as well. For our non parodies, just let us know and you're free to perform. All we ask is that you give us credit and that you don't make commercial recordings (or even non-commercial ones) without discussing it with us first.

Yes, playing outside is no problem. All we need is some level ground to set up on, protection from the weather (sun/rain/wind) if necessary and access to one domestic power point. If absolutely no power is available then we can offer a jazz duo that performs with a battery powered PA system.

Pop of Ages normally perform as a 3 piece band but often expand to a 4 piece. The live instruments played in the 3 piece are guitar, keyboards and percussion with lead and harmony vocals. The four piece adds saxophone as an additional live instrument.

For background dinner music, we play a combination of ballads (i.e., slow songs) and quiet, lightly-swinging numbers (what we call â??grooveâ?? tempo). Please refer to our repertoire lists, which are arranged by tempo category. The slower numbers are generally lower energy and well-suited for the dinner period. After dinner, when the guests are ready to dance, we usually gradually crank up the tempo and energy level.

Confetti consists of 6 individuals: 5 musicians and a female lead singer. Our instrumentation consists of Drums, Bass, Guitar, Synthesizer and Sax and Flute. The keyboard synthesizer has the capability of reproducing String and Brass instruments allowing us to faithfully reproduce music with almost any instrumentation.
