Most common formats are jpeg, gif, png, bmp. The larger the file is, the better are details viewed. Any photos are good as long as our artists can clearly see the details of your photo.You can send whatever photos you have on hand. We will review them and in case they are not good enough to be used for a portrait painting, we will contact you further to make sure you send us photos good enough to use in the process.

The bigger the better (within reason). RedBubble needs big, high-resolution original files to make fantastic prints. We prefer JPEG or PNG file formats, and don't accept TIFF or PDFs. If you’re uploading files larger than 20MB they should probably be compressed or scaled down a bit - we don’t print billboards yet! What matters most is the number of pixels of your image - file size (in MB) is not a good indicator of whether a file is suitable for printing.

Fotomaze only accepts JPEG files. These should be uploaded at 12 or Maximum resolution. Scanned images can be uploaded as JPEGs. Please upload RGB images, not CMYK. When scanning transparencies, set the image size to 200% and scan at 1200dpi. Uploaded images should be above 5mb in size.

A RAW file is best. If this needs to be compressed and you are asking what is the best file format to use, the first thing to mention is please avoid JPEGs as they are too lossy and leach out the very information we need to do a good job finding edges. JPEG2000's are better but PNGs are better still.

If you are having a logo printed on chocolate, the best format is EPS. If it is a photo a jpeg will work. The better the photo the better the result. A 300 DPI photo works best.

Image size is measured in horizontal and vertical dimensions as measured in pixels. For example, 640 X 480 means the image is 640 pixels across and 480 pixels high. (Please note that size can be a true recorded size or a computer enhanced size). While this measurement provides the size of the image, the resolution refers to the detail contained within the image and is listed as lines of resolution. These lines are the number of lines that can be individually differentiated within the image.

Your digital file needs to be at least 200 dpi with a 1:1 ratio on image size. Example: you want your image size to be 40" x 30" when it is printed, digital file must be 40" x 30" at 200 dpi or 6000 x 8000 pixels which is approximately 137 Mb file in TIFF format. TIFF is best for us. Although we can also work with many other formats when necessary.

You can upload any .jpg image not larger than 1MB, however any image with a height or width greater than 1024 will be reduced such that its longest side is 1024. For this reason its very advisable for you to reduce your images to 1024 prior to uploading them as this will save you a LOT of time uploading.

For photographic and fine art editions, our ideal file format is a flattened RGB tiff. We also accept jpegs, PDFs, and native Adobe PhotoShop formats. Optimum image resolution is 300-360 dpi at the final size to be printed. Resolution below 150 dpi may show pixilation. Display and design files can be submitted in most popular design programs, such as InDesign, Illustrator, or Quark. Please accompany design files with image links and fonts (or outlined fonts).

Resolution determines the quality of your image. Image file resolution is measured in PPI (pixels per inch) where pixels (picture elements) are a single point in a graphic image. Therefore, the density of pixels has an impact on image quality and print size. In general, the higher the PPI, the better your image will reproduce when it is printed.

The best resolution for you depends largely on what you are trying to pull out of the image. A 0.1524 meter aerial image could possibly allow you to make out individual people on a sidewalk. You wouldn't be able to identify the person, but you would be able to see that they are there. A 0.3 meter aerial image would allow you to view automobiles and other objects of comparable size. A 0.6 meter image is good for viewing all different sizes of structures.

We ask that you do NOT send us any image files (jpg, gif, tif, pcx, etc.) as part of an e-mail message. Our server is set up to REJECT all messages containing attachments. The reason for this is because image files are usually very large and attached files may contain computer viruses. If you have an image you feel we must see, you may send a photograph to our regular postal address. Please enclose a self addressed stamped envelope if you want the photo returned. I am new to collecting.

We provide repeat image files in EPS (vector) and tiff (bitmap) formats. The tiff files are full size at 300-350 dpi, and the EPS files can be sized to any size and resolution with no loss of detail. A vector-editing program is required to resize and edit EPS files. For more on what to send see our submission guide.

Generally you can configure Camera Resolution and Image format from the "Stream Format" menu item under the "Settings" menu. These options may vary depending on the Camera Device you are using.

The best file format will be one designed for that type of exhibit. (See question "What file format should I use?" above.) Pictures are best in .jpeg, scanned images in .pdf, reference text as .txt or .rtf. For presentation in court, PowerPoint files are preferable.

To obtain the best possible imagery within your Adobe Photographers Directory profile, it is suggested that you upload a 100% image quality JPEG. That JPEG should be sized to 260 pixels in width and 72DPI. You may upload images less than 25MB. Your images will be resized and optimized for the web before appearing in the Adobe Photographers Directory.

The Online Webzine edition is for people who want to view ATPM in their Web browser, while connected to the Internet. It provides sharp text, lots of navigation options, and live links to ATPM back issues and other Web pages. You can use Sherlock to search all of the online issues at once. The Offline Webzine is a HTML version of ATPM that is formatted for viewing offline and made available in a StuffIt archive to reduce file size.

Whenever you want to download an image in high-resolution format you have to register using your personal access details. Every image found by a search can be downloaded. You do not need your basket or light box. Click on the image so that it appears in the enlarged view. You will see a button called 'Download JPEG' underneath the image. Click on it. The rest of the process is dependent on the browser you are using. Click on the 'Download JPEG' button. Image opens in browser window.

All the images in the Photojournal are released with the maximum (or fullest) resolution available which is largely determined by the maximum resolution captured by the camera aboard any given spacecraft. The TIFF images are the highest resolution images made available to the Photojournal. All images are downloadable, with the TIFF file providing the fullest resolution. We cannot provide you with a higher resolution image than that which appears in the Photojournal.

This depends on what the image is, and where and when it will be used. You may need one format for web use, another for a "master image" for future editing, and another for dropping into an OCR program. For saving works in progress, you should always save in a 24-color format with lossless (or no) compression. These include Windows bitmap (.bmp), TIFF (.tif), PNG (.png), and PSP (.psp) in Paint Shop Pro 5.

present, the Million Faces petition can only accept Jpeg (.jpg) images. This image format is by far the most common image format used by digital cameras, scanners, web cams or new technology like photo mobile phones. Whilst the size of your image will be automatically adjusted before it appears on the website, it will help us if you send as small a file size as possible - image file size should not exceed 70k if at all possible.

It is relative, depending on how large the canvas print to be and the effects you want to achieve on the canvas. Normally, to print a small photo or image, the dpi (dots per inch) of the image file should be more than 100. For a large format, the dpi should be at least 50. For examples, to print a 12" x 12" photo, the photo should have a resolution of at least 1,200 x 1,200 pixels. The 20" x 20" canvas print needs 1,500 x 1,500 pixels. The 40" x 40" needs 2,000 x 2,000 pixels.

Please only upload jpeg (.jpg) or gif (.gif) photos as these are suitable for display on websites, if your photos are in any other format you need to use photo software to convert them into either a .jpg or a .gif before uploading them and don't forget to make the a reasonable size when you convert them ie approx credit card size. Please make sure your photos are a maximum of 100k, to check this then right-click it with your mouse and select 'Properties'.

Size your photo down to approximately 2 by 2 inches at 250dpi (500px by 500px) and save it as a jpg for optimal upload time. If you aren't sure how to do this, you may send your file as is if it isn't over 2mb. Files larger than this may take too long to upload.
