The NBFE will require that you maintain your CEU’s through your primary certification(s) so it is not an additional financial burden but assures the public and employers that candidates maintained their continuing education. Organizations that are granted Affiliate status by the NBFE are not entering into any partnership or joint venture relationship with the NBFE.

From January 2006, all practitioners registered with the HPCSA need to obtain 30 CEU's per annum. CEU's will remain valid for a period of 2 years. The requirement is for practitioners to maintain a valid CEU level of 60 units at all time.

The requirement has been set to 5 Ethics CEU's per annum for all professions, except for Pscylogy that is required to obtained 6 Ethical CEU's.

The National Board of Fitness Examiners (NBFE) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting excellence in the fitness profession through standardized and unbiased National Board examinations. NBFE exams will assess the competencies of fitness professionals currently working in the field and those who are newly graduated from a national certification program or college with approved curriculum.

eCPDsa works on the principle of self-study. You first have to study a recommended source document, and then complete the assessment questionnaire on the same source on our website. You can claim the CEU’s once you have successfully completed the assessment. A unique numbered CPD certificate will be issued in your name for each successfully completed assessment. Recommended sources are all listed under the various discipline-based categories in the CPD Activities section on eCPDsa.

The NBFE was formed because there are no regulations or national standards for "Certified" Personal Trainers. In recent years, the fitness industry has received harsh criticism by the media, Medicine, health clubs, and the public. Currently, an individual with no experience and minimal competency can "buy" a certification.

eCPDsa is maintaining a special section on Professional Ethics. This section is appropriate for all health professions. You can complete any of the activities in that section to earn CEU's in Ethics. Your CPD certificate will clearly state that the activity was in Professional Ethics.

All learning on eCPDsa is free and eCPDsa only makes use of free sources on the Internet. However, you have to pay a small service fee for the certification service provided by eCPDsa. The income from these fees is used to pay for the expenses of developing and maintaining the website and its content. Some individuals however enjoy free CEU's on eCPDsa, which means that a third party is paying the service fees on their behalf.

There is a Verification of Training form that asks for all information necessary for documentation purposes. The verification of training form requests the trainer of the workshop signature upon completion of the training. However, if for some reason a trainer did not sign the form, the RCYCP Trainer and the executive director of your agency are the authorized signatures that we will accept.

Admission as a Legal Permanent Resident to Guam, which is a U.S. territory, can maintain your LPR status. Answer: International students must abide by certain rules while studying here. You must enroll as a fulltime student, accept work only with authorization, maintain a valid passport, and keep your I-20 or IAP-66 current at all times.
